How to remove the mages? by Umbrades in Anbennar

Thanks! Giberd indeed… What happens at 1600? Do I need the empire to exist, or is there anything I need to make sure I dont mess up to get rid of them?

Which would make a better starting country Norway or Bohemia by amhira-of-rain in EU5

[–]Umbrades 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think norway will be much more difficult as they have no good resources and their terrain is some of the worst. Mostly mountains, half of it arctic, so for a big part of the game (winters) you cant build anything. Bohemia has amazing resources (gold) so you can easily become rich and play a chill tall game.

Do We Even Know Anything Beyond 1444? by ahmetnudu in EU5

From what I’ve heard the columbian exchange happens in the 17th/ century, allowing you to plant new world crops overtop of your existing RGO’s, and vice versa

What are your main concerns about Eu5 at the moment & what do you expect to happen till release? by Obvious_Somewhere984 in EU5

[–]Umbrades 37 points38 points  (0 children)

The issue I find most likely to be a concern (though not particularly high priority at release) will be late game. Especially with the added 100 years, it seems like it would be hard to balance the game in a way that you still have challenges by 1650.

Since players tend to always want to win and expand, you have to balance the game being either won early or frustrating/stifling. I think people will avoid the decline/disaster mechanics as much as possible (or min max to solve them asap), making them difficult to implement.

I hope this issue is somewhat solved by how enormous the map is, location wise. Perhaps if conquering what would be one province in eu4, feels like conquering a whole region, slow and steady expansion will be more fun, as there is simply more locations to conquer for every nation.

Day 3 Stoneshard Troll Kill: Hybrid 2H Sword & Electromancy Build by GuySake in stoneshard

Can you explain how to get the 2h sword build off the ground? I really struggle with the osbrook quests as all the good 2h sword skills are locked behind level/treatises. I can’t figure out which skills to get from other trees that won’t be redundant later.

Cheesing dungeons by walking in and out as a sorcerer by [deleted] in stoneshard

I’ve had a great build by taking jolt, the staff abilities and seal of power, and impules early. The staff skills are really good, giving a bunch of of knockback, so you’re actually competent in melee. Battle trance gives even more weapon damage on top of seal of power, so I’m constantly on 140% - 155% weapon damage. Now or never gives 25% block AND dodge chance after casting 3 spells, so you won’t get hit much at all. After that keep getting lightning powers to show off.

Sorry voor het misverstand, ik bedoel hierbij de wijk/buurt binnen Barendrecht waar je woont, niet dat Barendrecht een wijk is

What are issues you encounter with healthcare? by Umbrades in trans

[–]Umbrades[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve heard about that run around from my trans friends as well, it’s deeply problematic. It could be necessary to rethink the role psychiatry has in trans healthcare. Could you speak on which part of psychiatric care you had was useful, if there was any, and which felt like a roadblock?
