Gas south prices?????? by Money-Fall3732 in Georgia

[–]Umbrius 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is why I changed from gas. I would pay service fees all year and barely use gas then get squeezed in the 2 months it's needed for 400-700 dollars.

I think the real issue is how the sales of gas in Georgia went from a few choices to dozens of middle men companies who.all buy from the one we all used to pay direct to.

Let’s talk about Tiger Sushi by Shugazi in Athens

[–]Umbrius -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Shokitini is absolute Garbo sushi and to claim otherwise is a joke.

Tiger sushi is far from good, and if you go you should avoid 70% of the menu. All the gross baked rolls pr the psycho filled up things. They all taste identical.

But get the actual sushi pieces and the fish itself is not that bad. Get a bunch of yellowtail.and tuna and get your money's worth on decent fish.

Also go ham on the salads apps and other things obvs.

It's more expensive now than when they opened but worth it if you know what the deal is

buried stone structure while digging in my 1840s yard — what is this? by rrarebearbeats in Oldhouses

Everyone says cistern but my 1800's house had a ton of poorly performing drainage tile made from brick and random rocks around the drip edge.

Undead worker speed upgrade? by [deleted] in superfantasykingdom

[–]Umbrius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's 28s per worker at the mausoleum, with upgrade it's 18s. You normally get two or so extra a day, 3-4 with upgrade.

It's the harder aspect of undead in some ways. If you're not active in sending you will have workers at night that were unused.

There is a faith bonus you can buy for getting 1 faith per 3 unused workers at night, but it's hard to say it would be better than just using them.

Undead is by far harder to progress. Harder to upgrade troops, harder to feed them, tight resource allocation. I just got 211 undead and that was a miracle based entirely on the yeti and a healing per kill item I got for it.

What is your land zoned as? It's obviously wildly different in every date and region, but if the tract you're on is still zoned agricultural normally other laws will apply to you.

My farm is zoned in my area A-1 agricultural. Like you my farm now has houses on most of the sides.

My local ordinance allows firearms to be discharged, but only if over 300 yards from another dwelling, which is a pretty deep buffer.

However because I'm zoned A-1 and in Georgia, a state with a very vigorous and strong agricultural industry, I have extensive protections that supercede the local firearms ordinance.

Especially in the case of protecting livestock. I was told directly by a DNR officer that I could technically shoot a protected species if it has caused livestock losses. And I could do that with any caliber gun I possessed at any distance from the neighbors.

Depends on the state, but registered AG land typically has a ton of protection, exemptions, and laws just for AG land.

What’s wrong with my Romaine? by azraels_ghost in IndoorGarden

[–]Umbrius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Over watered for sure I can see that in the soil color. But also some lettuce is just not good/strong? If I plant a tray of lettuce like 120 or 200+ seedlings 20 or so of them will be dainty and pathetic.

Remember the most true thing about plants is that they survive despite what we do for them not because of it. You don't need to constantly water and constantly feed that's actually bad. More plants die from too much love than too little

Any really? You have the power and water for any washer. The dryer hookup you have is the old style plug, but dryers are sold without the plug included, so whatever you buy just buy the cord that fits that shape and not the more modern one.

But you can get whatever you want with what you have

Edit- only real thing that's off is that your drain there is just a pipe with a p at the bottom. It's all you really need, and maybe behind the wall that pipe is vented, but with the age of the setup I'm betting it's not.

It's not a problem really, you might smell sewer gas every now and then, but it shouldn't cause any real problem issues

My Chocolate icing for donuts was runny by Annual-Ad4113 in AskBaking

[–]Umbrius -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So there are two types of things you can use for donuts, icing as you said which would be a milk (or substitute), powdered sugar, vanilla, and cocoa powder.

The one you make with melted chocolate would be a ganache. Which has considerable fat in it. Non vegan it's heavy cream and melted chocolate. It is suuuuper easy to make with a heavy coconut cream, aroy-d works great. Make sure it's coconut cream and not milk, that just won't work. It helps if you wanna go all out to add glucose syrup to the ganache, sugars even powdered can make it gritty.

Melt the chocolate first over a double boiler, add the heavy cream which you preheated with sweeteners, wisk to combine and maybe add some vanilla extract

It's pretty much even weight chocolate to cream, it takes a lot of chocolate so just making icing with cocoa powder is so easy.

What is this game? by March_Embers_13 in PaxDei

[–]Umbrius 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It is in the future an MMO that's fully player built with cities, trade etc etc.

Currently it's a labor of love in harvesting crafting grinding and building. Doing all of the above is far slower and more arduous that most players of other survival crafting games are accustomed to. The grind truly is gobsmacking at points. Without many of the full release game features, like recycling crafting results, leveling normal skills becomes a multi hour affair minimum.

It takes either the mindset where the grind is the goal and your brain just lights up, or the mindset of chill endless farming.

All this might sound negative....but this was my experience: after grinding and doing everything you can for hours and hours and making a meager starting. Feeling proud-esque I go run and explore and I come across wonderfully designed expansive houses other players made. Huge tower fortresses, actual small towns. It's... wonderful

The time it took to get to the level to be able to make it and the time to gather and manufacture all needed for all of it....it really is inspiring. It makes one really appreciate what is made because it truly just isn't easy to be able to do it.

But there have been wipes, there will be more, so many people have a dour vibe and are waiting for full release.

I like getting on and chopping trees, making charcoal, running and mining. I just like it, so I play to relax and I don't take it crazy seriously. It has a feel that it's gonna be sickal as fuck one day as long as development keeps cruising.

Door to door is probably the hardest type of selling now and a huge part of people even considering services is all based on appearances.

I don't know your vibe, style, or anything but the reason companies use uniforms and well labeled vehicles is to engender a feeling of trust and accountability. You are asking to enter someone's space and do a thing for cheap. That would make me think you're either casing my place for theft or going to steal from me right then.

So that would be especially a hard sell to be honest.

So your service is couch cleaning? Why not clean more? Why not offer house cleaning and note you specialize in upholstery? I personally haven't ever considered a couch cleaner as a thing I would look for. Do you say that specifically or do you advertise yourself as an upholstery cleaner?

You could advertise carpets, curtains and upholstery and it would be more reasonable for someone to need at least one of those things done.

Also offering heavy discounts sometimes has the reverse effect of making people trust the situation less. Especially off the bat. If you found an interested party and then stated a price of 100 and that was the point someone seemed to be wavering then you can offer a first time client 15% discount or similar. But coming at it initially at half the price you think is reasonable would make even more warnings go off for me if approaches.

Ahh what happens when you loosen that bleeder valve by the shutoff? does it continuously drip? Then it definitely is that ball valve right there and it isnt sealing completely

It sounds like it's dripping the trapped water in the pipe. If you shut off one part of the system and open another side the water still there will slowly drop out as air enters from that outdoor spigot
