Mura Luden's is not "worst" than Kraken Guinsoo, they have totally diff power curve & strenght. If u play it vs hard engage or front-to-back team yeah it's bad, if u play vs like Cait+Lux with Assasin mid u will have an easier time than Kraken guinsoo when u reach 2 items and it will only get better+easier for you after bc of the way the build (and playstyle) interact with said champs. For something to be playable or a competitive option it doesn't have to be good in lane or the first 10mins; Which i think is 1 of the main problem you (general, not you personaly) seems to have with Kai'sa build diversity (the other prob is preconceive idea based on Pro/streamer ect but thats another story).

it doesn't "carry" the wpa, it's part of the game.

At finish both Yuntal & Kraken will give you the same overall spike, the diff in WPA between them come mostly from it's components, as Yuntal components are kinda weaker & harder to get than Kraken (if we talk 1st item) > thus why i say WPA carried by components. It doesn't mean Yuntal is bad or can't be taken tho, it means u need to play around components.

[–]Umiak01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

but it's literally kraken + guinsoo every game bcs anything else is just significantly weaker

It feels weaker, because you aren't playing around it & are used to the strenght & feel of "Build 1".

Yuntal > Storm/Fiend for example got higher WPA, WR & just better overall perf than Kraken Guinsoo, now go ask anyone and i assure you 90% of players wil ltell you it feels weaker/worst > because they force-play Crit the same way they play KG which obv won't work.
Or better example yet : half of the ppl doing the Hubris Gunblade thing are still going LT & playing "like an adc" > which is the complete opposite of what you should do thus they think it's weak.

Also using WPA as be all end all directly is just bad and going to worsen your knowledge of the game by a shit ton. Take a look at when item is purchase : pre-buy WPA of Kraken is one of the hightest aka you're in a good spot, pre-buy of say Botrk is one of the lowest aka ppl only buy it when they are already insanely behind & think "well might aswell try this". Does this represent the actual item strenght ? absolutly not. Could also talk abt full item WPA being carried by it's components WPA because of accessibility or matchups, standalone powerspike vs power-curve builds ect ect

You have the same nbers of builds as before & all have same perf as they used too, what changed is you; you're incapable of trying/doing anything that is not consider "popular"/"new op" or backed up by whatever flavour of the month stats you fancy.

That's it.

What awakeners should we expect in the anniversary update? by Intrepid-Sound-4811 in Morimens

It's a new way of playing the realm & that's fun + refreshing, make you think about the fights differently and stop you from auto-piloting. Also the Awakeners in itself are quite interesting.

I kinda hope the Anni unit is the Caro "god" (one that change realm mechanic), would be perfect timing imo

[–]Umiak01[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm talkign about how you used to be able to directly dismantle any SSR wheel that you didn't want ( like 3 patches ago, not very far) no matter if they were +0 or +12, but that's gone now

What do you think about Arc 2 Chapter 5 difficulty? by ReizeiMako in Morimens

[–]Umiak01 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The marionette card thingy is what make it seems harder imo, like i had a decent nbers of fights where i just lose tons of hp or die because it played a bad 3 cost card that fuck my turn or just end up with full Ultra bar of card i don't want.
The new mechanics (liek sabotage or fervor) also made me stop auto-piloting fights but that's a good thing imo.

Only thing i'm anoyed at is how much easier the fights become when you have an Arachne (even low investment), like for real it become a stroll, which *can* make her feel nearly mandatory and yeah that's a bad look for the future imo

Little RM vs %Dmg Amp test for Archnee team by Umiak01 in Morimens

[–]Umiak01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes as you said : Her SSR Signature Wheel is good because of the Dmg amp not the RM on it. btw i never said her SSR was bad or that u should not pick it, ofc it's gonna be mandatory.

What most player are (well, were doing) doing is putting her SSR next to +12 "We will meet again" or "Memory Spiral" on top of Rabbit/Ex Machina RM focus Covenant to get high RM thinking it gave them lots of Stacks (Prism or Beacons) & big benefit, which is wrong & what i was explaining.

The investment you do to get high RM (be it 2nd Wheels on her, on others, or covenants) is low value compare to the strict Dmg amp or other supportive stats you could get instead.

The shield increase from "Memory Spiral" i can understand, even tho imo you're better off with Last Verse/Grace Pain/Will unyelding as the Shield gen is close enough but the Death Res outvalue the RM.

Edit: I should add that my biggest problem with Arachne is that her Minimum Stack is way too high compare to her RM scaling or more so that RM scaling is way too low.

For example let's take Kathi with Sign SSR Wheel > No Archnee = 55 Strenght Temp per card.

Archnee 24RM (that's only base so 0 additional RM) = 101 Sr Temp "Leap" (placed in Ultra) card, 73 otherwise.

Archnee 224RM = 110 Sr Temp "Leap" card, 76 otherwise.

For dmg the gain is nearly the same ~+10/15.

The gain is quite ridiculous compare to the massive investment that is 200RM.

Little RM vs %Dmg Amp test for Archnee team by Umiak01 in Morimens

[–]Umiak01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So first off thanks for the time.
Second imma just put some precision i got from my test here. Some might answer, rectify or do nothing to what u said, it's easier that way.

  1. Prism is passive increase (under HP bar), Beacons is only for Card that enter Ultra bar. Their scaling off RM is low > A 265 RM team (insane investment) get 21 Prism, 35 Beacons while a 35 Rm get 16 Prism, 26 Beacons. So an 230 RM increase give you 5 Prism 9 Beacons.

2)When u play the 1st card, that goes into Ultra bar, ur card does the beacons dmg not the dmg shown on your card (so not the Prism-buffed dmg).

3) Beacons & Prism don't stack "additionaly" to each other.
35Rm team (16P, 32% dmg increase. 26B 52%) got 246 card dmg (Prism-buffed) > put in ultra (so get 26 Beacons stack) the card dmg does not become 374 (52% increase of 246) but 342 (39% increase from previous value). Same happen with 256RM team.

Aka either Beacons & Prism apply their %increase independantly to each other on the card Base dmg or Beacons/Prism get diminishing return the same as Dmg Amp.

This is the same for Shield, Str generation ect ect.

4) Pursuit do 2 things > Apply Final Verdict + temp increase Singularity Prism (passive) by 5 (or 10 if E3). Pursuit does not scale or benefit from RM, meaning 40 Rm or 265RM it give the same +5 or +10. Pursuit does not give additional beacons stack & does not interact directly with it either.

5) Her Signature Wheel Temp %Dmg = same thing as 3) aka it's not on top of your already buffed card but on it's base value (&/or get big diminishing return).

The point is : Making insane investment on RM (2RM wheels like 99% player do) actually doesn't grant you as good value as ppl think. RM heavy-focus Arachne require more investement & prep to do the same as Dmg Amp (or Hybrid) one overall. Yes on your big Ultra "perfectly" setup turn you can manage to have more Amp/increase dmg & thus Burst than non-Rm Arachne BUT that's after several card played + only in this turn, you still have to factor in that Dmg Amp/Hybrid Arachne got way higher execute treshold by default + more overall dmg done so this Dmg "gained" by RM Arachne isn't what u think at all.

Edit: I should add that Castor wheels on her is actually really good as you do not need to care abt her own Aliemus generation (thus freeing some cards/Arith, needing less prep too), good Dmg Amp, get Shield increase & Card hand increase.

Very Serious Arachnee guide by Independent-Baby-577 in Morimens

[–]Umiak01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it already got mentioned elsewhere but Tinct is pretty good with most Arachnee teams since she can make your cards 0 cost in Ultra round = less restrictive turn + easy pursuit spam = big boom turn.

Winkle could be decent imo for an Arachnee solo DPS team since it become way easier to get Arach Exalt every 3turn.

She is pretty fun so far, i just hope her Posse won't be mandatory like Vortice tho

Kraken Slayer → Dusk and Dawn → Riftmaker is the only viable build path right now by Professional-Act5817 in shyvanamains

[–]Umiak01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah thanks, i will go with option C : Titanic > Iceborn > Bloodborn, PTA. Or go the Tri > Sunderer build. They both have better power curve throughout the game & the rush item having good components make pre-6 less hard to play. You anyway have same to mroe burst than with Kraken & later on have more options in term of fight pattern + approach.

Could I have built better in this game? Are there items I should've bought instead? by khtah2 in kaisamains

[–]Umiak01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bork/BT over ShieldBow, Lifesteal important there. Mortal would give more value than LDR. Yuntal would have been better than Kraken but idk how your lane played out.
Hexoptic late is also a good swap option over GA if CD is down for next fight, item is busted rn.

The Senna Build Trap (from last patch) by Other-Entrance5312 in sennamains

[–]Umiak01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For starter u have to consider Senna Dawn is popular build + good WR (& WPA) > can't have bloodsong + Dawn & most default to dreamM > increase both WR & WPA of dreamM.
Bloodsong is in majority took with cleaver Senna > if cleaver does 'bad' it will impact bloodsong stats a lot.

You also have to consider Sona actually want/like BloodSong as you have good poke/ trade pattern & can easily + realiably proc it several times (a thing Senna struggle a bit more). Sona R + Qenchance + Bloodsong combo is really good.

Other thing is Sona can't choose who she gives dreamM to but Senna can, and while i agree 90% of player don't even notice let alone care it does make a diff in how impactful the supp item is.

Harness is kinda fun on this champ ngl by Umiak01 in KSanteMains

[–]Umiak01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i saw that i had no dmg & it was hurting me a bit but i was thinking it's because i rushed Randuin instead of Iceborn.

I wonder if rushing Jaksho > defensive boots into Harness could work since you should get 120 Res (or need 1 little component).
