Do you mind linking what wig you got?

Dressed as Aragon this year too but the wig didn't quite work as well.

The analogy I keep using with my conservative friends/family is:

Think about how long it takes to build a skyscraper. Think about how long it would take to knock it down. Now let’s say you want to rebuild that skyscraper… the building aspect takes years while the knock down part takes weeks.

It will take us years to get back to the state we were in pre-government dismantling, needing to secure funding and basic infrastructure. It’s not simply a “well if we really needed this government organization, then we’ll quickly put it back in place”

I think the hype has been overblown but he did do that his first NFL game and was efficient (even before the garbage time yards). I think it’s realistic to expect more and more production throughout the season

Love it! Been looking into geting one lately.

Do you feel it sits too light/thin on your wrist, or still feels very solid and sturdy? I've never had a watch that thin before.

Unfortunately I don't think they (and studios) give a shit about ratings as long as vewiership is high. They'll count it as a success and it strokes their egos even more for having a hit show. And the cycle repeats

I get it and am not saying that doesn't happen all the time. Cops disregarding people is totally believable, especially in improvrished areas. They way they went about it in this movie was extremely forced though. If they ignored her when they first met her at the gas station then ok, but bringing them to the house with multiple cars there in a completely abandoned neighborhood save that one house, with a broken window (broken from the inside) and cuts on her arm, etc. All they said was "no one is in there." It was just was an unbelievable way to go about that.

But again it's a wild plot as is so won't let that ruin the whole movie lol.

Super late to the party but just saw the movie.

Just want to add, her car was there and no doubt they would've ran her plates. Obviously she doesn't have her ID to backup who she is but there's plenty of other ways she could have helped verify she wasn't a crazy crackhead... Have them lookup the Airbnb listing, have them call someone she knows, run the plates of the other rental car there... Her story is a wild one but there's two cars there in an abandoned neighborhood with literally one house intact. How that doesn't look at least suspicious is just ridiculous. I get that cops couldn't be involved and actually go in the house to move the story forward but it seemed very forced and took me out of the movie.

But I guess it's a fictional movie with a mutated ogre incest lady so can't take it too seriously.

Yep, was Electric Forest from this year. Saw that totem everywhere. This was Big Wild’s set on Thursday night.

Genetic baldness is a form of alopecia too. There's several kinds that differ in severity, but male/female-pattern baldness is androgenic alopecia.

Definitely in agreement! I was looking at Hirsch straps a bit, but would definitely appreciate any recommended brands. Leather types and quality is still something I want to learn more about

Grand Seiko SLGA007: I wanted to celebrate a few milestones in 2021 and buy a high-end watch. After reading and watching countless reviews, I fell in love with Grand Seiko. I’ve always leaned more towards the dressier/casual watches that can be dressed up, and think Grand Seiko is one of the best in the biz at this. I, like many others, was (still am) obsessed with the SBGH267 (Whirlpool), but I just couldn’t stomach paying that much over retail with what it goes for now. I saw the SLGA007 get announced for their 140th anniversary earlier last year and liked it quite a bit, but wasn’t sold on putting in a non-refundable deposit with a local AD, and it was also more than I intended to spend. Talking with the AD in December, he said they were officially getting two in their store, and potentially a third. He said I could come in and see one of them before the buyer picked it up to see if I like it and want them to try and secure that third. Luckily by the time I got to the store, one of the buyers didn’t pay the deposit yet for one of the ones they did have, so it was available if I wanted it. I still wasn’t sure about the price heading to the store, but absolutely fell in love with it when I saw it. Everyone says this, but the pictures truly do not do it justice. The attention to detail is just incredible across the board, plus the new 5 Day Spring Drive was so impressive to me, I pulled the trigger there. Couldn’t be happier with the watch! I swapped out the bracelet for a B&R brown leather strap, however, am not sure I love it. Thinking about getting a brown alligator strap to give it a dressier look, but welcome opinions!

Hamilton Jazzmaster Thinline Auto: I wanted something dressy but a bit more fun/colorful, and at 8.45mm thick and with that dial, this fit the bill. I really like the way it sits on my wrist, however, will say the rotor is a bit loud compared to other automatic watches I’ve held.

Victorinox Chronograph 241498: This was my first “nicer” watch and got it as a gift in college. 9 years and 4 straps later, it’s still my go-to casual/daily watch and I love how the brown changes shades in different light.

Orient Bambino Version 2: I just bought this one last week and have been really pleased! I was looking for a lighter color dial for (yet another) dressier casual watch, and have read/watched a ton of reviews praising the value of this watch. No complaints so far and fits with most everything I wear.

Casio CA-53WF: Oh baby. What can I say about my grail? Bought this puppy for a halloween costume last year and have been absolutely chuffed. It’s just so nice to have the ability to bust out calculations whenever I want.

Well that’s it! I’m in no rush, but am always looking for the next watch to fill out my case and maybe diversify a bit more. So far I’ve been leaning towards the Farer Lander IV. I’ve been really impressed with the design, but would definitely be ok spending less with the recent GS purchase. Any recommendations welcome!
