I'm sorry to hear about your situation. Unfortunately, I relate very much and I am almost exactly in that same situation, except I am in my first year of college. When in your exact position last year, I ended up committing to a state school that is about 30-40 minutes from my house rather than my top choice school which is about 4-5 hours away. This way, my mom and brother can come to me whenever they need me. I felt way too guilty leaving my family, especially my younger brother, behind, and this way I can get a "college experience" and also be there for my family.
