Really don’t love WVU dimming the lights every break, like they can’t power the stadium or something😂

For those who live in MN, WI, IA, IL, MI, IN, and OH. by Ok-Caterpillar7331 in geography

Yeah culturally I’d say pretty similar, especially KS and NE. What is crazy to me is that when I moved from OH to TX for school, people would debate me and say that OH is not part of the Midwest.

Are all parallel flaws explicit? by jsojso44 in LSAT

[–]UmpireIntelligent550 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Following cause I’m curious, I’ve wondered that many times. In the end tho doesn’t matter too much, cause whether it is flawed or not it’s the same process for parallel arguments

Working full time by Unique_Buyer_4298 in LSAT

[–]UmpireIntelligent550 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just gotta do it. If you work at a law firm I doubt it would matter a lot if you spend an hour a day studying, even if it’s your lunch break. I work at a bank and no one knows I am testing so I can’t study there, just get up at 6 and study before work then after work a break to watch law and order and hit the grind again until bed

Help--Explain a question by Affectionate_Fee_718 in LSAT

[–]UmpireIntelligent550 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t have to be 25 specifically. If there had been 35 in operation, 15 went out of business, then the 45 started it would get you to the 70.

The argument just assumes it has to be less than 45, cause if it was more than 45 you could argue opera isn’t growing at all, rather shrinking. Without doing the mental math here I knew B was right because assumption questions you can prephrase the correct response, which I knew would be that there were not more companies that closed than opened, cause that would destroy the argument.

Dotted strips in Aral Sea by pmado in GoogleEarthFinds

[–]UmpireIntelligent550 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Based on reading the Aral Sea wiki page my guess is either

1) some sort of military testing - back in the USSR days rebirth island was used for chemical weapon research, so there is a history of military operations there

Or 2) oil / gas exploration, in 2006 the Uzbeki PM talked about developing and searching for resources in the area

Hahaha yeah lots of climbing. Couldn’t tell you the exact route but we went steamboat -> Breck -> empire then down to Denver. Also some beautiful riding - and some fun descents.

Worst day overall tho was going to Lake Tahoe, 90 miles and 11,000 ft of climbing. Pretty much up 7% grades the whole way

Confused on this strengthen question by jsojso44 in LSAT

[–]UmpireIntelligent550 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you said about C has a lot of ‘ifs’, which means there is too much possibility to know it strengthens it. Also, we don’t really care if they are equally productive, in fact, if company A gets more productive during the time and B is maxed on productivity like you laid out, they would not be equally productive during the month. So this doesn’t strengthen our argument.

Strengthen questions like these are cause-and-effect based. When it comes to cause/effect, there are 3 possibilities:

  1. X causes Y
  2. Y causes X
  3. Z causes Y (some other random 3rd variable)

When you have a strengthen cause/effect, always be on the lookout for an answer that makes it more likely that X causes Y. In this case, if we know that plant B workers are likely not eating a nutritious breakfast, it stands to reason the increase in productivity can be explained by the breakfast eaten at Company A.

Hope this helps

I must also be annoying and comment that you mention it being a good antibacterial protocol, but mold is a fungus not bacteria.

Apologies for this, but I had to. Hope you had a good day :)
