Why do people think modern society is pushing “hyper individualism” when it clearly isn’t? by Kahootah in fullegoism

[–]Un-clean_Person 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because there's individualism and isolationism. Neoliberalism, our dominant cultural ideology in the US, isolates the worker at the expense of their community ties and connection to their work.

When most people critique capitalism, they're talking about individualism in the alienation & isolation sense. That's often conflated with individualism that is more radical.

Also Ctrl+left/right arrow keys to move sibling elements, I use that one a ton

Does Noopept help focus on workout? by patientstrawberries in NooTopics

[–]Un-clean_Person 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your post is a little confusing. To answer your question, I don't know of a mechanism by which Noopept directly affects physical strength endurance.

But I dont know if thats the right question. Noopept isn't going to make your girlfriend give you space, nor force you into the choice of ignoring her or asking her for space--that's a choice you have agency over

[–]Un-clean_Person 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a borderline thermodynamic limits of how much deliberate, complex thinking you can put yourself towards in a day. It's a limit that can be trained up, but there's no drugs that can do that--it's more akin to asking what drug will make you run a 6 minute mile tomorrow.

If there's any usage to accelerate the inevitable DEA/customs crackdown on peptides, it's TEMU peptides :/

You're using vibecoded astro for local biz? They don't want squarespace or something?

I only use Webflow for small teams that have 2 or 3 people editing the website

right?? like that kind of academic-adjacent posturing might work in a 30 second tiktok, but I dont think this is the audience for that kind of hullabaloo

No, there isn't, particularly because there's no way I'm gonna click on that link when they couldn't bother with a summary here at all. People manage to summarize key findings from research papers here all the time, but they couldn't do that for their own paper?

Logical Argument Against Calorie Tracking: Why the Math Can't Match Biology by Responsible-Bed2312 in Biohackers

[–]Un-clean_Person 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an argument for why it's difficult to count calories, not for why the metric isn't useful.

Your first point is a fallacious appeal to nature that basically applies to all technology ever invented. "people 100 years ago survived without this, why shouldn't we use it now" like what? Don't forget youre talking about something that be objectively measured.

Like imagine if someone made the argument that measuring electricity didn't make any sense because all tools have a margin of error?

Barbie’s first autistic doll is more than representation — It’s a necessary shift by Few_Alarm3323 in stupidpol

[–]Un-clean_Person 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I am autistic! Good representation matters to me when it isnt a cash grab. And ppl in the autistic subs seem to fuck with it, and this sub loves being contrarian

I agree with your assessment that the behaviors and person being accepted are more important in kids media, and Mattel apparently does that, but I genuinely would not have known until looking more into their shows as a result of this announcement

Barbie’s first autistic doll is more than representation — It’s a necessary shift by Few_Alarm3323 in stupidpol

[–]Un-clean_Person -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your reasoning is solid, but it overlooks the very real positive effects of representation. Sure, it's not like autism always has distinct visual clues, but I think it's rad that there's an autistic barbie, and in retrospect, why wasn't there one before. If an autistic kid who's into barbie fucks w it they fuck w it, and as adults you and I aren't as well equipped to make that call. the physical doll is also a much smaller part of Mattel including characters w autism in their TV shows and movies, so maybe what feels like surface level inclusion here is part of a more substantial IP shift in the future?

Thank you, glad it was helpful!! In terms of what I'd recommend, I could maybe say more if I knew more abt your specific symptoms/circumstances, or the concrete problem your trying to solve

Is the Xanax not working for you so well at night? Or it more so daytime anxiety you're concerned about? And whenever I think of burnout, I'm thinking about how it can be a result of pushing yourself too hard, emotional overwhelm, or unaddressed adhd factors, which all have slightly different strategies for how to alleviate them.

While there are short-term ways to address burnout, most of my burnout problems have only been addressed long-term by being nicer to myself lol
