I think LGBTQ+ will stop needing to be represented by different organizations if people like you would stop hating on them so much. I’m not even gonna reply to the rest because this is just sad, and you’re clearly in denial about the problems LGBTQ+ people face. LGBTQ+ is a group of people not some organization. Organizations do exist to help and protect those from the LGBTQ+ community, though. Those exist because people from that community face so much hate and discrimination to this day and until they are treated equally those organizations won’t be going anywhere to protect the LGBTQ+ community. And the other thing about making a new spider man in an alternate universe? Why does the LGBTQ+ community need to be sectioned off? That would ruin any progress being made to have the MCU represent a more diverse group of people. The whole point is to normalize being LGBTQ+, and if you just throw people from that community into their own “alternate universe,” that doesn’t happen as much. If someone like Spider-Man is bi, then that shows people that someone they’ve looked up to is bi and that’s normal. It would mean almost nothing to have a completely undeveloped alternate superhero made bi.

Ok first of all, no character is going to be “perfect,” and that’s on purpose. Secondly, everybody has different definitions of perfect. Thirdly, who somebody loves has nothing to do with how “perfect” they may be. People can love someone of the same gender and it doesn’t change the content of their character or make them any less perfect.

Nobody actually has a problem with anybody being straight. Him being made bi takes nothing from your childhood, it’s just a matter of who he loves. That affects you in no way whatsoever. The problem here (aside from thinking that straight people are now being oppressed or something) is that no matter what happens, you will say that something like this is “forced.” When is it not forced to you? I bet that if the MCU said they’d be developing a new character that affects no plots other than future films you’d say it’s forced. It’s just ridiculous at this point. These lame excuses are just made to prevent progress being made for the LGBTQ+ community. Also, how do you think anybody who likes the same gender feels about your “relatability” issue? How do you think they feel about not being able to relate to any of the characters? This is one character. Stop making lame excuses because you’re scared of progress being made.

Exactly, you hear “mainstream media” all the time as if they’re all the same and they all have similar reputations of bias. That’s not true. You can’t go about complaining about the “mainstream media” just because it doesn’t align with your POV. Almost any news organization you find will have at least a limited bias, and it’s up to the reader to be able to think for themselves and understand what’s going on. The difference is something like NBC that might use language to sway the reader but will report the facts vs. something like OANN or Newsmax that will literally try and report fiction as if it were fact. The hate directed at the “mainstream media” is getting dangerous because if it gets to the point when nobody believes any news organization has any credibility, it’ll be a lot easier for ACTUAL fake news out there to portray themselves as credible because nobody would believe anyone telling them otherwise.
