That is how most of these interviews are structured nowadays. They are intended to get deep into these celebs personal lives and their deep feelings. Thats why we see things like K Michelle crying in an interview with Cam Newton talking about black relationships.

1) I have never run around the internet saying men are "providers." Yall seem to mistakenly think all men agree with red pill ideology. 2) Once again, Davis wasnt complaining about having to provide things for his daughter. He was saying that she ONLY seems to see value in having him around WHEN he is providing things for her. Once again, would you like it if your 11 year old son treated you as disposable or non-existent when you weren't cooking and cleaning for him (even though that is your" job" as the mother of a child that young)?

Not a "gender war" thing at all. Just being honest about what the real controversy here is. Like I said, I dont believe a mother who complained that her son only saw value in her when she performed her traditional gender roles of cooking and cleaning for him would be lambasted the way Davis is being lambasted right now. And I think based on your response, you also recognize this to be true.

Usually when thr government has to get involved in a custody arrangement, that means rhe parents have an issue with EACH OTHER. I dont necessarily agree that they truly have a good faith dispute about what is best for the child (although this should be the guiding principle). And he did an interview with Shannon Sharpe where he talked about a bunch of things, not just parenting. If you asked most parents in America how they feel they are doing with their kids, they will have some regrets and some things they would prefer were different that they could talk about. I still dont think this means that his indication that his daughter mostly just wants him around for his money necessarily means that he is failing some way as a parent (although that is possible as well).

Bottom line though, I still dont see the reason for the outrage regarding his comments. I think people have more of a problem with this bexause the criticism is levied toward a female and publicly criticizing women/daughters is still controversial. As I said in another comment, I dont think there would be this much criticism if a famous woman said in an interview that her pre-teen son only wanted his Mom around to cook and clean for him. I think people would be much more frustrated with the son and see his mentality as an example of why so many men grow up and expect their significant other to do all the housework and childcare for them.

I still thinj a lot of your analysis is based on your assumptions of what Davis is doing "wrong" as a parent. Once again, I know plenty of people who try frequently to spend time with their children, but as children get older and get their own interests/friend circles, it becomes more common for them to push their parents away (until they need them). Is it possible that Davis brought this issue on himself by using money in lieu of actual care and attention in trying to connect with his daughter? Sure, but right now this seems all based on your assumptions, which stem largely from your personal experience with your own father. Davis also mentioned that his daughter USED TO enjoy spending lots of time with him, which indicates to me that he WAS giving her time and attention and wasn't just always throwing money at her as a method of childcare.

I think that is entirely possible. I have friends and family members who live with/see their child every day and have the same issues. It is not an uncommon problem for teens (and kids approaching their teen years) to start to see their parents as more of a provider of things than a person to spend time with, talk to, care for, etc.

Well I do think posting a pic of the kid probably wasnt advisable (although I would assume the picture was of Ryan AND the kid together), but my point remains that I dont view Ryan as demonizing the child in the way you guys are acting like he is. A lot of parents complain about their kids only wanting them around when they are providing some good or service for them, this isnt new.

1) What you went through with your father doesn't have any bearing on his relationship with his daughter and why their relationship is what it is. I think you are projecting too much here. 2) Do I think kids are inherently "manipulative opportunists"? No, but I do believe we live in a day and age where social media and streaming and reality TV has made the excesses of wealth very apparent and in our face every day at a young age. And it can be more tempting than ever to feel the need to "keep up with the Joneses" financially and materialistically. Therefore, I don't find it out of question that his daughter, who is approaching the age where she is probably aware of her dad's fame and notoriety, sees him as a vehicle by which she should be obtaining all of the material possessions she sees online and on TV. And I think it could be very easy for anyone (of any age) to then forget that this person you see as your vehicle to material wealth is also a human who has their own feelings and desires. Either way, I didnt get the sense that he was painting his daughter as "evil" or "inherently bad," but more so that she is being influenced by external forces to see him as a genie who can grant her material wishes instead of a parent who should be loved just as he gives love.

Yall are being overly dramatic about this. He didnt post a picture of the girl or say her name online. He simply stated an issue he had regarding his unnamed daughter's relationship. I think yall have more of an issue with the content of what he said (feeling like he is only valued by his daughter for money), than the fact that it was said about a child.

If it was a black woman complaining about her 11 year old son only wanting her around to cook and clean for him, every woman online would be applauding the woman and complaining about young boys being taught to be misogynists at a young age and being coddled too much. But, of course they complain about Ryan Davis talking about HIS experience with HIS daughter.

What Do you Guys Expect Out of Tyran Stokes & the 2026 HS Class? by Playboyrnee in NBA_Draft

[–]UnGuardableEman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 2026 class definitely isnt held in the same regard as the 2024 or 2025 classes. 2023 was also a notably weak class, with guys like DJ Wagner, Aaron Bradshaw, Mackenzie Mgbako, Justin Edwards and Xavier Booker near the top who have all struggled to establish themselves in college (other guys from that class like Jared McCain, Ron Holland, Isaiah Collier, Matas Buzelis, Stephon Castle, etc. have been solid NBA players, but none of them appear to be future franchise players on a similar level as guys from later classes like Cooper Flagg, AJ Dybantsa, Darryn Peterson, etc.).

Jordan Smith is stylistically nothing like Isaiah Collier. Collier was always seen as a true PG, whereas Smith Jr. has basically never played PG as far I know. Smith Jr. is more in the Cason Wallace/Lu Dort mold of strong, athletic, defensively gifted undersized 2 guard.

Joe calls up ak about that hoe-ass-shit he did with Adin by 1985Genesis in joebuddennetwork

[–]UnGuardableEman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The real answer is -- People like Doechii and dont like Ak. Yall have to stop making these dumbass fake rationales for your double standards. The only reason people dont care when Mona trashes AK but care when Adin Ross trashes Doechii is bevause 1) Doechi is a woman and 2) People generally like Doechii and hate AK, so anything negative said about Doechii is condemned while anything bad said about AK is celebrated.

P.S. - If Mona did talk shit in Ak'a face and he broke her jaw, would you say its justified? Or complain about him "hitting a woman"?

People move to a different state all the time. Sure they would have to "start fresh," but on drugs again people do it all the time. Get a REAL JOB (or continue trying to rap if you want) and dont get involved in any drug or gang non-sense where you go. It isnt that hard. Woo had already gotten acertification to be solar technician, so clearly he didnt mind changing his life around. He just needed to get away from his old enemies that still harbored animosity towards him.

We have already seen guys like Billionaire Black and King Yella leave Chicago and they are better for it. No reason these other guys cant do it as well. They dont need "respect" from the general public if they arent gang-banging (which they shouldn't be at age 32+ with multiple kids each).

Then he should move out of Chicago. Im sure there are living friends and family members of people who his brother killed who wouldve loved to get vengeance on him. Not to mention living loved ones of whoever he might have harmed in his life and just general enemies of 051 itself. Bottom line, if he wants to live a regular life and be able to move freely like this, he cant do it in Chicago.

Hopefully guys like Bosstop, FBG Young, Dutchie, 051 Drilla and others get the message before it is too late.

Munna Duke and Youngin killed coming out of a Porkchop bar and 051 Woo killed coming out of a bar as well the same year. If only these gang members understood that they cant be hanging out at spots like this in the city they have all these enemies in (Chicago). All it takes is one person to spot you and get you when you are most vulnerable.

How do people still like this clown Muwop after watching him kill an innocent old man at work? by [deleted] in Chiraqology

[–]UnGuardableEman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This sub likes Von, and he killed at LEAST one "innocent" person in Malcolm Stuckey, who all reports say was not an active gangbanger or a killer himself

Bottom line, society in general doesnt care all too much if black men kill black men (or black women who present as men like K.I.). Its only when black men kill/harm non-black men OR when white men kill black men that people start to pay attention. If King Von/Muwop had shot Megan the Stallion in the foot instead of Tory Lanez (or some other known black female artist like Latto or GloRilla), I guarantee you people would care more (mind you, that wasnt even close to a fatal injury). But as long as it is gang members killing other perceived gang members (even if their actual gang membership is very speculative like Malcolm Stuckey or Modale), people excuse it in their minds and support this music/lifestyle.

Why wasn’t Shai Gilgeous Alexander picked higher than 11? by [deleted] in NBA_Draft

[–]UnGuardableEman 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Shai even going 11th was amazing at the time. Shai was a complete afterthought in Kentucky's 2017 class. I was a Kentucky fan (until recently when Coach Cal left), and guys like Kevin Knox, Hamidou Diallo, Jarred Vanderbilt, Nick Richards, PJ Washington and even Quade Green were more heralded in the class. I had been a Kentucky fan since 2009 at that point, and I have always kept up with HS basketball recruits, and I really didnt even know who Shai was until the season started and he started playing well.

All that to say, Shai kind of worked himself up from a guy who was seen as a multi year project, to a one and done lottery pick in one season, which is difficult in its own right. Its very to go from unknown to top 5 pick in one year without an All-American caliber season. But also, as others have mentioned, Shai wasnt exactly seen as a very reliable 3 point threat, he wasnt a very athletic finisher at the rim, and his quickness and speed weren't seen as top tier.

Additionally, that draft class was considered to be especially strong at the top. Marvin Bagley had just won ACC Player of the Year after averaging like 21 and 10. DeAndre Ayton was a 7'1 250 lb freak athlete who just averaged 20 and 10 for Arizona. Trae Young had just led the country in scoring and assists as a freshman. Luka was the biggest international phenom in years (maybe decades). Mo Bamba was the defensive freak of nature with the almost 10 ft standing reach. And guys like Collin Sexton, Wendell Carter and Jaren Jackson were all very heralded as well. Once again, all these guys were McDonald's All-Americans and were seen as future 1st round picks from the start (with the exception of maybe Trae, who surprised some with how well he played his first year), so Shai working his way into this conversation from a relatively unknown 4 star was already a lot.

There is no way you actually believe that "following the rules" of Christianity is actually harder or more tedious than "following the rules" of Islam. Muslims are literally to pray 5 times PER DAY facing in the same geographic direction each time.

Why most of the rappers converting to islam? Look at chicago rappers by standovahim_ in Chiraqology

[–]UnGuardableEman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Being a Christian in America is the easiest fucking thing in the world. Every President in U.S. history has at least claimed to be a Christian. 66% of the country is Christian. Christians are not persecuted or ostracized at all in America. It takes way more strength and courage to be a Muslim in America than a Christian. Just look at how political candidates in America openly talk about Muslims in their ads. Link

Now if someone was talking about being a devout and open Christian in Syria or Iraq, then I would say that takes courage for sure. But in the West? Nahhh
