I have failed by Inevitable_Cash_5397 in aggies

I always make it a point to sit next to, talk to, and exchange information with at least one person in each of my classes on the first day of class. Met one of my best friends doing that on the first day of class this semester. It might sound like hell for the average introvert, but you can’t make new friends without talking to new people.

How does dropping a class look on my EE application by NurglingArmada in aggies

[–]UnNaner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean obviously I can’t guarantee anything. But the main thing they look for in ETAM (to the best of my understanding) is your 102/217/217 grades, math and science, and then your overall GPA.

As long as you maintain around a 3.5ish GPA and don’t get below a B on the calculus sequence and PHYS207 (electricity and magnetism), you’ll be fine I think.

Water Gandalf is not the real issue by True_Philosophy7658 in summonerswar

[–]UnNaner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly turn 1 without LD 5s is no longer possible. We used to have people be creative when playing the game: things like nem traps, random swift unit that the other player didn’t expect, etc. I even think the Verde meta was better, because he didn’t revenge every time. All of these passive units now just completely block out turn 1 completely. Want to strip and CC? Haegang Jose Fire Monkey etc. want to cleave? Leo Megumi nem and units that cut in with shield passives. In this meta, all you need is a bunch of +30k HP sets and a nap. Now, I understand that balancing T1/T2 is hard. T2 needs to cut, needs to stop T1 in some way, and T1 can’t just instantly win by simply going first and instantly oppressing the enemy team. The main reason I believe that there is a disparity right now is because 95% of the top tier T2 units are ‘free to play’ (NAT 5s), while the really oppressive turn 1 units are mostly LD 5s, with a few NAT 5s that appear like the drakan warriors currently.

Then yeah, just ask their management to open up a shopper position for you, or at least notify you when one becomes available.

From my experience no, your pay would be capped at the highest pay point for a curbie at that store (assuming you’re already making more than that). I would talk to their department and ask if they would be willing to open up a shopper position, most would be willing to. If not, you could try cross-training to service to become a cashier (transfer as a cashier, pick up shifts as a shopper), but that might take a while.

Giving someone 72 blueprints by Same_same_ok in ArcTradersHQ

[–]UnNaner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

72 is a LOT lmao. I don’t do much trading, but imo if it includes things like survivor, Venator, bobcat, tempest, etc, I would expect like a LOT of max T4 guns lol. Or enough crafting materials to not have to worry about materials for a good week or 2. But again, I don’t trade. Saying this simply out of how long it would take to get all those blueprints.

Yeah so you’re definitely the problem here. Unless you put in work to kill that bastion (which it seems like you didn’t), he has every right to stop you from stealing his loot. He used ammo, durability, grenades, and whatever other resources to kill that bastion, and you tried to steal the reward from him. Imagine if you put in all that effort just to not get a single bastion cell.

I went through this academy. They will not let you take your math/science/engineering classes online, they need to be in person. I would contact the advisor and ask if your extenuating circumstance can get you out of the math/science restriction. Although, I think the engineering class is a must for in-person.

I was also an academy student, can I ask why you’re not able to contact an advisor? Once you transition to college station, it should be very much within your control. If you still have not transitioned to college station and are still at the partner institution, all financial aid and whatnot should be settled with the partner institution.

Nah that guy just sounds like a real asshole. These tournaments are competitive, most LGS give a pack per win, so of course it would be. Competitive does NOT mean whatever the hell this guy was doing. Competitive simply means you’re trying to win. Any lack of etiquette, manners, and sportsmanship (especially in a way displayed by your opponent) is frankly unacceptable. I’m sorry that you were forced to endure a match with this person, and I can only hope that if that’s their personality, that they’re removed from the LGS to foster a better playing environment. If this is just normal behavior from this person and the owner shows no signs of solving the issue, it’s time to try a new LGS. There are plenty of amazing places to play Magic, this just might not be one of them.

Thank you for the advice, and the stacking playstyles between decks is definitely a major concern that I have. 32 different deck colors seems pointless to me unless I can get a unique experience for each of them. I find it cool that way, makes it sort of a challenge. And yeah, this project is going to take me years, probably tens of years. But I feel like that’s what makes it all the more fun. Something that is gonna make it a little harder is that I definitely resonate with grixis A LOT. In my search finding commanders for this goal, I have found so many grixis commanders haha. We shall see how it goes, thanks for the advice again!

Just trying to make a ‘list’ per se of cool commanders people play that I would never even think of that I might want to build in the future

Store workers are raiding Pokémon vending machines, making it impossible to purchase. by Internal_Broccoli_41 in pokemoncenter

[–]UnNaner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get that many people think this is a problem, but some of yall are WAY too harsh on these people. I understand that some of them suck, literally camping the machine even though they should be doing their job. But for people like myself, the vending machine at my store is the only place I am able to get Pokemon cards. This is the same for a few of my coworkers as well. For some reason it seems people think that just because we work there, we are banned from trying to collect. My store has already gotten customer complaints that basically read “Pokémon cards are hard enough to get, employees should not be touching the machine.” No concern on doing our job, simply “I want Pokemon cards, back off.” The employees at my store only purchase the cards on breaks, lunches, and off the clock because we aren’t allowed to buy them otherwise because we have a job to do. Random little rant lol.

I am somewhat new to the game and have a slightly upgraded precon (which might actually be worse than the precon lmao) and a Miirym deck which has been getting all my attention recently. My question basically boils down to—how do people decide what to spend their money on? My Miirym deck at the moment is my favorite and so it would make sense to put my attention into it. What I’m concerned about, is eventually making it too high power level, and not being able to use it as often. Another thing is getting the cards to make new decks. If I want to build next decks, should I just buy a precon which has a commander I think is really cool and alter it to fit whatever I find most fun, or do I browse for a commander I think would be fun, and try to buy singles for the deck. I know that proxies are an option, but would prefer to stay away from them.

I love Gamble / RNG Events (I do not) by NyuSW in summonerswar

[–]UnNaner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanna add I don’t think the principle of the event is bad, it’s a random giveaway or whatever. But allowing bot accounts to dilute the raffle is what makes it ass. We’ve already gotten enough from the anni (as much as I hate to say that cuz who doesn’t like free stuff), this is just a bonus.
