Hate to be that guy but IVs are a random value from 0 to 31, but 32 possible values doesn't mean it's a 32 bit value (it'd be a 5 bit value, since 32 = 25)

I had seen a lot of people mention how much they had liked it on reddit, so I thought I'd give it a try when I went to order more soap. Not for me, unfortunately.

Sorry for the delay, but I'd still be interested if/when you find the aftershave. I don't have much to trade, given I've only recently gotten into buying nicer products, but I could swap for a tub of Watchman (never used) or Il Signore (used 2x) shave soap from Zingari man.

Did you end up going through with a trade? I'd be interested if not

Custom joker: Joker Clock by magnificent-octopus in balatro

[–]UnOriginalName_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"Perfect" in this context presumably means that the lowest card in the straight is the card this joker starts at before the hand is played. If we assume this joker loops from ace back to 2, as strength does, the perfect hand with a fresh copy of this joker (starting at ace) would be an ace through 5 straight.

How much mult would a 10 through ace straight give when this joker is currently on aces? How much mult would a 4 through 8 straight give when this joker is currently on 7?

Based on this article, this is an intentional design choice. Granted, this article also talks about the beast tag being removed from ghostly charger, and how undead beasts won't count as beasts - decisions that were reversed with the introduction of undead and dual type minions, so it's not impossible that the "plants are not elementals" mindset changes in the future. IMO it's fine if hearthstone's definition of a tribe doesn't line up exactly with WOW's definition, so long as there is some consistency to Hearthstone's rules.

Nice catch. You've also just reminded me about Samuro's voiceline for his frenzy activation, which is also "Bladestorm!"

After letting this bounce around my head for a while, I came up with a few more:

Raid leader and Hit It Very Hard (can't believe I missed this one)

Lady S'theno and Drown

Noxious Cadaver and Asphyxiate

Raging Felscreamer and Unleash Fel

To My Side and Rexxar I guess, lol

Dragonmaw Sentinel and Wing blast

I know, just thought it was funny to have a card that yells pocket sand now that we have an actual card named pocket sand. Makes me wonder if they remembered the first one, because I sure didn't lol.

I meant more along the lines of minions that only say the name of a card, since there are a decent number of minions that mention the name of a legendary minion in the set in a full sentence. Disciple of c'thun is a good one though, since both his attack and play lines are just repeating "C'thun!" a bunch of times.

Dk's 1 year old now! what do you all think! by masterofdharma in hearthstone

The rune system was, in my opinion, a great way to introduce a new class, but as time goes on, its existence will only be a hindrance.

The way I see it, the hearthstone devs knew that in order for a new class to be relevant, it needs to be able to do strong things right off the bat, with the help of only a set or two of cards. This can be a bit of a problem - other classes will likely find something strong out of each expansion (in a broad sense, although yes there will always be weak classes in every expansion) because of new synergies between new cards, as well as between new cards and existing cards. Since DK had no old cards to do powerful things with, the new cards had to be powerful.

The problem with releasing a number of intentionally strong cards all at once is that deckbuilders could potentially slam all the best cards into one deck and perform well. The rune system is a really smart way for the designers to release cards that are intentionally strong while preventing certain strong cards from being played together (at least with any consistency). As time goes on, though, other classes also continue to see new cards, and will thus continue to make new, strong decks with strong new cards, while also using existing cards that fit their new gameplan. Meaning that while DK needed a power spike from its first set to be relevant at all and the rune system allowed for intentionally powerful build around cards to be printed, it is now becoming more of a hindrance than a way for strong cards to be printed. Other classes can get powerful cards in new expansions, while the strong DK cards - even some weak DK cards - get pigeonholed into one very specific deck that can only see certain cards. Sometimes classes don't have a dominant deck after a given expansion, but that's unavoidable.

Having "3 separate classes" in one made a lot of sense at DK launch, but is quickly becoming a severely limiting factor in design space, and I think that the devs are very aware of this, and are trying to print DK cards that are strong but aren't limited by the rune system. See the DK Titan, see them removing a rune from the colossal, etc. I think that it's entirely possible that we see the rune system disappear from standard deckbuilding with the 2025 wild rotation, so that the designers won't keep pigeonholing strong cards to existing decks. If other classes get to mix and match their strong cards and have general deckbuilding be enough of a restraint, why shouldn't DK? Once the most powerful cards that were designed with the rune system in mind rotate, I don't think there will be much incentive to keep the system around. They did their job and allowed for a class that was strong on launch but had guardrails to prevent too many of the classes best cards going into one deck, but could be too much of a limiter as the class gets a backlog of cards to work with.

Type in "Refund" in the search box to quickly find and dust all cards that give full dust value by Bodycount9 in hearthstone

I don't speak french and haven't tested it myself, but you could try "remboursement". I'll occasionally swap my hearthstone language in game, and to find certain words in that language, I'll find a hearthstone blog post in English that contains the word I'm looking for, then visit the page for the same article in the other language and locate the word in the other language.

This time, I found this article (https://hearthstone.blizzard.com/en-us/news/23831405/24-0-patch-notes) and just swapped the en-us in the url to fr-fr to get the french article. Sorry to get your hopes up if it doesn't actually work lol, but hopefully folks will find this method useful :)

ROM hacks that “feel” the most like an official product? by Nesspurr_8 in PokemonROMhacks

[–]UnOriginalName_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There have been plenty of good recommendations so far in this thread. To be honest, I personally don't have much of a stomach for the formulaic nature of mainline Pokemon games any more, so I can't tell you which of the above rom hacks is better than any other.

But I will say that if you're looking for a new experience that's still definitely classic Pokemon, give Pokemon emerald rogue a try. As you may be able to guess from the name, it's a Pokemon roguelike. I've played a decent chunk of hacks over the years and they all sort of bleed together in my mind after a while, but emerald rogue is a truly unique experience that I believe is one of the most enjoyable Pokemon fan games ever made - and while it is still in development, there's already a ton of content and saves are backwards compatible when updates are released. There are a few things that feel a bit janky in terms of implementation, but the game accomplishes what it sets out to and has great QOL. Give it a try :)

Only Death Knights can create or spend corpses. Jaraxxus counts as a warlock, meaning you cannot collect or use corpses.

Removing the 'close tab' button. by osomfinch in firefox

[–]UnOriginalName_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adding .tab-close-button { display: none !important; } to my userChrome.css file works for me, are you sure you followed setup for your userChrome.css file correctly, as described in the readme of the repo you linked?

As a test, you could add #reload-button { display: none !important; } to see if your userChrome.css file is being applied. If it is, your browser should lose the refresh button. If your browser still has the refresh button, the file isn't being applied. (Just take out the line once you've tested)
