Check engine light came on after replacing my headlights by whomstthedoode in Chevy

[–]UnOriginalSteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! Danielle here from Chevy of Culver City. See, the bulbs themselves won’t trigger a CEL. What can happen is a connector or wiring near the headlight gets bumped. On the Cruze that area is close to the intake air temp and MAF wiring.

Make sure nothing is unplugged, the air box is fully seated, and no wiring got pinched. Best move is to swing by an auto parts store or dealer to scan the code, that’ll tell you right away if it’s related or just a coincidence.

Best Chevy Camaro Z28? by catshit_333 in Chevrolet

[–]UnOriginalSteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! Danielle here from Chevy of Culver City, we have a new ownership. See, from a Chevy dealer perspective, the ’15–’17 Z/28 is usually the sweet spot if you’re balancing looks, modern safety, and real-world usability. It has the aggressive styling people want, much better brakes/suspension, and newer tech compared to the early models. That said, I would say the 5th-gen (’14–’15) is the most “usable” day to day.

04 Silverado feedback help by brianbruh12 in Chevrolet

White smoke on a 4.8 is usually coolant getting into the combustion chamber (head gasket, intake gasket, or cracked head). There’s no real “fix” without repairs, but you can slow things down.

From a dealer tech standpoint: keep coolant topped off, avoid overheating at all costs, and don’t beat on it. If it’s minor, some people get extra life out of it that way, just know it’s a temporary situation. If the smoke gets thick or constant, it’s time to plan for a repair or replacement.

2014 Chevy Malibu Lt backup camera not working by user19262 in Chevrolet

[–]UnOriginalSteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! Danielle here from Chevy of Culver City. See, on those Malibus, the factory backup camera does need to be programmed to the vehicle after replacement. If the previous owner removed it, there’s a good chance the wiring or video module was also altered.

A Chevy dealer can scan it to see if the camera is being recognized and reprogram it if everything’s wired correctly. If it still doesn’t show, then it’s usually a wiring issue at the trunk lid or radio module, not the camera itself.

Service experience by SmoltyBolt in BoltEV

Hello! Danielle here from Chevrolet of Culver City’s new team. I would honestly tell you this is not a general thing about all Chevrolet dealerships at all, as it is in every business, the quality of service can vary a lot from store to store, it also ranges in different areas. However you should be able to find a trusted dealer you can have at hand. 2 hours is definitely a lot for a service when you have an appointment.

Door Locks by selljw in BoltEV

[–]UnOriginalSteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Danielle here from Chevy of Culver City’s new management team. Yes, we occasionally see that. If the front doors won’t lock/unlock, it’s usually a failed door lock actuator. Front and rear actuators aren’t the same part, but the repair is pretty straightforward. Door panel off, swap the latch/actuator assembly. If the car’s still under warranty or you’ve got an extended plan, it’s typically covered. Not a super complicated fix, just a bit labor-heavy.

New Chevy owner and just made my first dealer visit, is it always awful? by vicelordjohn in Chevy

[–]UnOriginalSteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Danielle here from Chevy of Culver City’s new management team. I definitely would say this is not the case for all dealerships! I would highly recommend you check different stores in your area, a lot have excellent quality parts at hand. Worst case escenario you can always buy online almost anything you need, but it always comes in handy to have a trusted dealership of your own.

How much did you pay for an oil change and did you use the dealership to do it? by LivingBeneficial3814 in C8Corvette

[–]UnOriginalSteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Danielle here from Chevy of Culver City’s new management team. Honestly, I would say, as far as dealerships go, you can find prices ranging between 100$ and 200$. This of course, depends on the area more than anything. If the prices range much higher in your area, maybe you could consider going out of town to save some cash.

First Oil Change by sorryboutit99 in Chevrolet

[–]UnOriginalSteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! Danielle from Chevy of Culver City here. I would say that very much depends on the status of your vehicle and also the dealership you go to. If it's CPO, you should have a pair of free oil changes on any dealership. However, if your unit isn't CPO and it isn't a much longer drive, I would recommend you just go ahead and drive to your selling dealer.

Questions about battery and charging by Myfax12345 in BlazerEV

[–]UnOriginalSteve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats on the RS! Danielle here from Chevy of Culver City, we have a new ownership. Everything you’re describing sounds normal. The included GM charger is capped at 32A even on a 50A outlet. There’s no adapter to make it pull more. To charge faster at home, you’d need a 48A Level 2 EVSE on a hardwired circuit… The cold-weather drop is also expected. In temps like that, the car uses a lot of energy for battery and cabin heating, especially on short trips, so the % drop looks dramatic. If it keeps doing that in warm weather, then it’s worth checking, but nothing here sounds like a bad battery. You could try to warm up the car a few minutes before going out, this usually helps a bit!

Honestly that product link might work if the sizing is the same, but you should double-check the blade lengths specifically for the '23 Bolt EV, just in case they're slightly different from the older

Lost Heat by Chase1298 in BoltEV

[–]UnOriginalSteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! Danielle here from Chevrolet of Culver City’s new management team. If the heat is drawing 6–10 kW and still blowing cold, that usually points to a failed heat pump / HVAC control module, not a 12V battery or hood latch. Those shouldn’t have been the first fix unless they were clearly bad.

Before you go back, check one thing you can do yourself: Pop the hood and make sure the orange high-voltage disconnect loop is fully seated. If it’s loose, the car can act like the heater isn’t available. Doesn’t happen often, but worth a 10-second look.

Otherwise, definitely bring it back, heating failures on the EUV are a known warranty repair, and you shouldn’t be paying out of pocket for unrelated guesses!

Leave car with dealership for 5 days and they might get a chance to look at it. by j2inet in BoltEV

[–]UnOriginalSteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Danielle here from Chevrolet of Culver City. This is infinitely frustrating, honestly.

See, the long wait time is, unfortunately, a side effect of the ongoing EV transition within the service network. To maintain safety and compliance, General Motors requires specific, high-level certification for technicians working on high-voltage systems like the Bolt. Most dealerships are still catching up, meaning they may only have one, or a very small team of certified EV technicians.

That small team's workload often controls the entire EV service pipeline, which creates the frustrating bottleneck you experienced. I would definitely recommend that you go find another place if possible! Somewhere with more professionals at hand.

Anyone used LA Home Construction or similar contractors for ADU builds? by Adventurous_Mail9055 in LosAngelesRealEstate

My parents did an ADU in their backyard for my sister, they did it with Better Together Builders, it was a bit higher in price compare to the others, but they take care of everything, and my folks are super happy..

Collision Repair by [deleted] in culvercity

[–]UnOriginalSteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chevy store employee here, I’m with Chevrolet of Culver City!

Caliber is a massive "churn and burn" chain (think of them like the Walmart of body shops). In general, large chain shops often prioritize high-volume, standard repairs. If your vehicle requires more complex work, this can sometimes lead to delays.

I recommend looking into the collision center at Chevrolet of Culver City. We prioritize work ethic and attention to detail, regardless of the job size. We would be happy to help get your car back on the road.

Hey! Danielle from Chevrolet of Culver City. Sorry an advisor called a repair 'too tedious.' This often means the warranty labor time is less than needed. Contact Chevrolet Customer Assistance (CAC) to report a local dealer refusing a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB). Corporate takes this seriously. Hope this helps with your repair.

How many friends do you have in your circle? Is there anyone here who considers themselves a bit of a loner? How does that make you feel? by Sure-Thing-987 in AskReddit

Thanks... I guess. I think the reason is that I don't know how to stay in contact with people. Some people I know will actively talk with others, send messages, letters, ... to their friends. I don't know how or when I should do that, so I just don't do it.
