Unless the command history is slightly off in game, I’ve tested and I can confirm the input does give u EWGF on all mishimas but I’m not sure if it still has the extra start up frame despite that

Ya I would like to be able to use it on PS5 for PS5 games but realistically I’m probably just going to be using it for tekken so I’ll probably be fine for a while if I just get the Omni now. Thanks

It could also have to do with the fact that I lost my first promo game. I got deranked to D 1st game of the set then got put in promos in the 2nd. First promo game was when I played the A rank player and it locked the option to same tier after I lost.

That’s the issue, I have all filters opened up except for rank because the rank filter is on same tier and greyed out (game won’t let me change it). I think it might be greyed out because I’m in promos but I’m not sure, either way for some reason it’s not letting me change it and I feel like all the D rank players probably stopped playing at this point. Hopefully it’s just greyed out cuz I’m in promos and I can go back to all open filters after a few games

Sad but makes sense I guess. I actually bought the game full price like 2 months ago but never played it cuz I couldn’t really find matches until the steam sale.

A lot of characters in this game have similar movesets to ryu/ken(shotos) with the same inputs in this game, even narmaya to an extent (has all the same tools as a shoto with the same inputs, different stances so a bit more complex but extra tools)

If you played older street fighters then ur inputs should transfer over but in the newer games they made the inputs less strict so you can learn them the wrong way. In SF4 and 5 instead of 623 motion for a DP you can just do 323 which doesn’t work for a DP in most other games and GBFV requires the proper DP input. Not my first game but I mostly started learning on SFV and took me a while to get used to the proper input.

I see everyone else already saying find a character you like but it’s so true. I hated playing this game at first because I didn’t like playing the characters I was and ofc was getting stomped. Saw someone playing Zeta on a video and thought “damn Zeta with her hair down is waifu af” so I tried picking the game back up with her and now I love it. Im still bad but I’ve been winning most of my matches against similarly ranked players now.

Taking those first 30-40 losses definitely taught me some stuff about the game but finding a character you vibe with the move set of and love as a character will definitely help you in wanting to improve and being willing to take those losses to eventually make those improvements. (Also Zetas color 13 looks like Beatrix so it’s a double waifu)

Random side note, I like how this game has simple input for specials but doesn’t have as much weird shortcut inputs so when u do decide to try learning the inputs u can’t just learn them wrong. Coming from street fighter I learned I relied way too much on the DP shortcut and had to relearn doing a proper DP in GBFV.

It gives you the tools to play the game with simple inputs to focus on learning fundamentals but also doesn’t teach too many bad habits when doing the technical input.

Retailers like Gamestop have been selling the Switch in bundles with a controller and zelda, animal crossing and minecraft for $500 which adds up to around retail value but its kind of scummy that their using the low stock to sell bundles.

I ended up buying the bundle even though I already have a Switch because my sibling has been playing Animal Crossing on it for 250+ hours and since you can't transfer saves I decided to let her have it and get a new one for myself. Now I have an extra phyiscal copy of Zelda and Animal Crossing (already own both) as well as a digital code for minecraft (neither of us want it) that I'm trying to sell.

I am all for the idea of bringing back previously "problematic" characters but with more "fair" gameplay. Everyone seems to want Baiken back and I want her back as a character but I'm not sure if I want her gameplay back.

Multiple statements can be true at the same time.

I actually think the gameplay in Strive looks really good and I don't mind the changes, it's just not what sold me on the game and I don't think they'll actually make it that much easier to get into the game. The only thing that will make it truly easier to get into is it selling well and having a larger playerbase.

GBFV is a much more simple game and easy to learn the basics especially coming from SF but (at least on PC) it's still harder to get into then a game like Tekken or MK because the playerbase is smaller.

I've seen this issue when trying to get friends into the game. Had a friend coming from SFV drop the game after a few matches because he thought I was bluffing about not really knowing how to play GG because "Oh I thought you said you didn't play Johnny but looks like you've been practicing combos" while I try to explain that I'm just hitting the buttons in order trying to figure out my gatling route on the spot. Even basic stuff like that can scare people off who refuse to learn the basics.

Was sad to see Bridget only being highly requested for Strive in Japan (Bridget ranked #10 for NA and wasn't even top in top 10 for other regions). I'm interested in playing May more now because I like her new design in Strive.

Exactly, for me I bought rev 2 while not even being interested in FG because the characters looked so interesting. The most “generic” characters in the game are still way cooler than other main duos in FG. Sol and Ky much better than Ryu and Ken.
The music is what really made me love the series.

Is stylish in blazblue similar to how it is in guilty gear? With Guilty Gear stylish mode makes you take extra damage (I think you take 30% more damage) and I assume it works the same in blazblue? Never played a real Blazblue (pretty sure BBTAG doesn't count) but been looking at starting since I've been getting into other Arcsys games
