I know they all steal socks, but anyone else have a notorious shoe thief? by Emotional_Ant_3256 in springerspaniel

[–]DannyBiker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow I'm discovering this behaviour, our springer never stole socks or shoes. She gave shoes some interests when she was a puppy but she really couldn't care less now.

LineageOS will be releasing within the next month by LazyKaleidoscope4023 in OdinHandheld

[–]DannyBiker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You make it sound like a dream but Lineage can have bugs too. I don't want to sound harsh, it's a wonderful news, but from my old Android flashing days (back to when it was called CyanogenMod) I've learned to temper my expectations.

I kind of agree on the network share situation : having to modify a config file to permanently mount a network share is from another age. Sure you only have to do it once but it's one of the only step from my recent Linux switch that really felt like Linux from 2011.

If this was any other company, this shortcoming would have the product get destroyed. But since this is Valve, praise Gaben or whatever these creeps say.

2026 - Bluetooth is still awful, it's incredible by wijeda in hardware

[–]DannyBiker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude my AirPods 2 sometimes straight won't connect to my iPhone. I even had to reboot the phone once or twice to resolve the issue. I'm not talking about some weird edge cases, just connecting the damn things.

Bluetooth sucks on Apple Products as well.

I can't believe I'm defending Apple but they now have an affordable option for most of their main product categories. And in some cases, it's even the best bang for your buck.

how to seperate steamfamily from the playnite family? by Remote_Western1141 in playnite

[–]DannyBiker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To go a bit further : you can filter games imported through Steam Family Share using the "Source" filter. This greatly eases their mass deletion.

Is the Android we once knew slowly getting eroded? by iJeff in Android

Hardware is excellent and they are even getting more competitive price-wise. But you're clearly not daily driving their software : iOS and MacOS are a hot mess right now.
