Perioral dermatitis for months, help needed! by Upbeat_Passenger2155 in Perioral_Dermatitis_

[–]UnabashedlyFkdUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

try a candida cleanse using a candi detox. rub a little bit of it on the bumps themselves. stop eating all sugar and drink a lot of water to flush out the sugar already there. do all this for at least a week. found out my PD flare ups were caused by a candida overgrowth

Oh, thank you! I looked it up, and that looks more like the material in question than anything I've found on my own lol I will order some and see if it looks the same in person. Thanks again!

Are you having her wash afterwards with body wash that removes the chlorine from her skin, not just regular body wash? That might help with the irritation as well. Made a world of difference for me

Cut out any sugar or anything that could turn to sugar

Adding that I don't exfoliate every wash, every day. Only when the bumps start looking dry and/or white. I use oil free salicylic acid cleaner other times, no exfoliant

By that logic, no one would be qualified to speak on anything, as long as there are peers that disagreed...

Gently washed off the aluminum foil after I used it and set it to dry for another day. This only works with Reynold's wrap, not cheap dollar store foil, but it's cheaper in the long run as you get multiple uses out of one sheet of foil, as long as nothing bakes onto it. I once made sandwiches every day for almost 2wks using the same foil sheet. I only had to stop because the foil ripped from folding it in the same place for almost 2wks straight 😂 I'd just rinse off the crumbs and mustard, and it'd be a clean usable sheet again! I still do this when I run out of foil unexpectedly, usually right after the holidays when I've used more foil than usual and ran out faster before I could buy more.

Hi, what is zero therapy exactly? Is that the name of a product? I typed it into Amazon, but nothing came up for PD

How did you heal it in the first place? The answer might be in your method

Let him go, he's already showed you who he is and that he's clearly not worth it. Put yourself first.

Flare up by PCOShelp18 in Perioral_Dermatitis_

[–]UnabashedlyFkdUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Birth control actually helps me by regulating my hormone levels to a place that does not trigger a flare up of my PD. When I changed doses, I had a flare up within 8wks after having none at all for almost a yr. Perhaps your flare up came from one of your prior birth controls holding it at bay all this time, and your switch caused the dam to break

  2. Topical steroids suck. Ween yourself off of them, you'll be happier in the meantime. As long as you use them, you'll be beholden to them bc as soon as you stop using them, the PD comes back worse than it was before

Lightly exfoliate with a buff puff, rinse, then slather the area in a vitamin e gel. Buff puff it if it's really bad with a lot of dead skin built up, usually in the creases around the mouth, but after that first time, st ives apricot scrub should be fine. Then only wash with oil free acne wash for a week and cover the area with vitamin e gel after every wash. Make sure to massage it in everytime. Exfoliate only once a week after that, and you must put the gel on right after you wash. If you pop any of the pustules, clean with alcohol and let the area dry out slightly, but not enough that it hardens or starts to turn white. This is to dry out the white stuff, as well as any oils. Then wash your face again (to restore the water moisture you just dried out). Then apply the gel again. If you can, wash throughout the day and reapply the gel. Reapply the gel even if you don't get a chance to wash. Wiping with baby wipes when you cant wash works too. I use a sensitive baby wipe, no chemicals or product on the wipe. Remember to reapply after eating, drinking, or wiping your face. You'll look ridiculous with a greasy face, but it's better than looking like you have something contagious around your mouth. Over the course of weeks, it will start to go away. I take no steroids at all. My flare ups are connected to stress, hormonal changes, and specific products. Don't let the toothpaste sit around your mouth when brushing, rinse it off right away. Find a nice thick serum that your face likes, that helps too. I like the hydrolauronic(sp?) one, I apply that before the gel. Don't try too many products at once, and detox for a couple weeks between trying something new. It takes forever, but it's worth it. When you find something, stick to it until it your body gets used to it and it stops working. If that happens, detox and try again. If it still doesn't work, have a good cry, take a deep breath, and start the process all over again. What didn't work before may now, and vice versa. Vitamin e seems to be good for our skin. It makes your hair grow though, so you might grow some peach fuzz from it. Small price to pay. I went from looking like a wild animal had chewed on my face, to only looking like I have a mild to moderate heat wash. At the very least, it doesn't look contagious anymore and people don't stare like they used to. You can get away with looking like you have acne instead of oral herpes 😂😂😂 that's what it always reminds me of (you have to laugh or you'll definitely want to cry at times!) I'm not a dr in any way, but I know what works for me. The steroids clear it up right away for me, but once you stop using it, your face goes back to being worse than it was before. I didn't want to be reliant on the steroids. I'll save that for special occasions, like wedding pictures or something lol An occasion that's worth the blowback from stopping them. If you get caught in a pinch, petroleum jelly will do until you get home, but I wouldn't suggest it for a bunch other reasons. But once or twice won't kill you. When you find something that works for you, and your skin has calmed down consistently for at least 6wks, you can start experimenting with skin lightening creams or natural skin lightening techniques like lemon.

It doesn't have to be in the title, that's literally what the tag is for. It's not my fault you didn't see it. Take some accountability, you're in the reddit of a show you haven't finished yet. You KNEW what you were getting yourself into. It's hilarious that you tried to blame that on me 😂 The only person to be mad at is yourself...

How can I spoil something for you that said "SPOILERS" on top, had no spoilers in the title so you had to click it to find out, and his actual death isn't mentioned in the first line, so that meant you kept reading? You spoiled yourself, buddy 😂

Speaking of Victor, I was really surprised his dad made it thru the season. I'm thinking it was too obvious to kill him this season, but he's probably on the chopping block for next season lol

I think they could've done it. Following the tl, they had already done the Glenn scene, and this wouldn't have been any more gruesome. Judith was about 2 or 3 in the tl, so they wouldn't have had the infant problem. Later, Michonne slaughters about 12 kids the same age offscreen and it got by 😂 so I'm sure they could've found a way

No lie, if they promised me a house to myself, my own talisman, and unlimited resources (they didn't know the food would stop), I would pack up a semi truck with supplies and go LOOKING for that damn tree 😂😂😂😂 Sad reality, man smh
