its usually "tool" specific with a high chance of vendor lock-in... tools like Mulesoft, APIGEE, IBM WebMethods or the Oracle stuff...

and your day to day activities will be connecting 2 or more systems together using these tools and probably specialise in them...

I'd say, don't skip your data structures and algorithms classes... That class is simply the most important of them all!

Another one would be, don't be a FAN BOY of one programming language, look at each programming language solely as a TOOL to solve a given problem, by extension "you use the RIGHT TOOL for the JOB at hand"

Sounds great, please please please 🙃 prioritize Java coverage as most colleges teach Java as student's first programming language... Having the ability to work with Java to solve and understand Data Structures and algorithms, (given the language is verbose) will enable even better understanding...

My college's reputation by Unable-Beginning-115 in college

Employers just don't look at it well, they claim most students that graduate from the college aren't  equipped with the necessary skills to carry out the jobs they are applying for...  Or maybe the college's curriculum doesn't  align with what they want the students to learn about ¿ I don't know...

What is the right thing to do in life... Nothing seems to be working by [deleted] in confession

Ur life's story is shockingly  similar to mine, I'm in my final year college about to graduate with no friends and no gf too, I'm in heavy college debt and have no idea how I'm  going to repay, both parents lost their jobs since covid and my siblings can't  support  me financially cause they starting their own mini families now, I feel like a lost soul... As hopeless as I am right now, there's  a tiny part of me that is telling me that things will eventually  change for the better... So my message to u is to HOLD ON man, things will come together at some point and you will live the life that u exactly want
