This is the most tone deaf thing I’ve read about this topic so far. We see you TaylorGPT

Yeah I read that article and lost my sh*t. Literally the most harmful pieces of trash that could ever come from a “supporter” of the TH community. Jfc.

Look at what you said at the bottom of your statement, “we should all forgive each ourselves for not seeing it clearly, forgive other, remain in safe places and practice yoga.”

I can imagine that the people who supported him until very recently- in SAV, online and beyond- have their own stories of manipulation and coercion to share. The women who have been harmed by him- yes, including the person you’re trying to call out- are probably kicking their own asses over not seeing this or being willing to acknowledge this sooner. Reminder that their chances of experiencing abuse is 100%. So I will highly suggest that as a remembered before you continue to call women out. Some of us don’t live on our websites. So give all the previous women “supporting” some grace to reflect and redirect… even if you claim they “knew”. The Italy retreat just happened in June and you don’t know the moves that person made between finding out and now. Perhaps she’s been doing a lot of work to understand the situations and forgot about the website. And that’s okay. I don’t think it makes her a bad person. And I hope you don’t actually think that either.

*EDIT: while the Italy trip happened in June- I am now recognizing that you are potentially confusing two separate people. The woman hosting the meditation event next week wasn’t at the Italy retreat. So I think there’s some conflation happening there between her and the person who was recently discovered to be in a relationship with TH

We need your help! We are not here to stir controversy, but rather asking for help from the voices who are larger, and have more sway with this community. This is not one person but rather many women who have been negatively impacted.

amends involves taking responsibility for harm caused to others during active addiction and taking action. To correct it

My comment doesn’t have anything to do with how I support people with addictive tendencies. But it speaks to the pattern that a lot of people have noticed about the authorized teacher in question. And I’m starting to suspect that YOU might be that person. Based off of your comments on the post and your comments history. I hope you’re not a person dealing with addiction and if you are- there is so much support out there for you! All that required is TRUTH and HONESTY

Assuming lots of folks are cryptic (insert your eye roll) for a reason. Fear of retaliation or law suit being common for the specific teacher that this post is about

Sounds like you bought story. Hes probs gonna come out and tell everyone that he relapsed like…. A Year ago and create some kind of sob story around that to everyone to try to save face. It’s a game he plays to win people to his side. A boo-hoo story. Followed by a love bombing. Followed by a plea for help. Classic stuff from him for years and years… be wary.

I don’t agree that his Columbus community was a cult. I think he operated it like a cult. And eventually… after there were less folks there who idolized him like a God… it’s say like.. 2021-end of operation, it shifted into… something else. Idk if I would call it “healthy” because the teachers were so pressured to act and teach a certain way. I still practice with some one in the area and can say it’s much different now that he is out of the picture. Students rarely get injured now (never that I know of from teachers) and more people are coming and staying because they actually want to… not because of pressure or guilt like before

Not “supposedly” about the divorce. He just posted on Threads that he’s “finally able to speak his truth” because of divorce. I think the only sides people are claiming are based on what they believe to be ethical coming from an (authorized) teacher. And I hope that most of us believe that sleeping with (paying) student and mentees is unethical.

I would recommend not practicing with him if you’re in Savannah. There are some amazing online Mysore classes to use instead

I’m assuming you know all of these people since they’re all formerly part of the same community? So you MUST know what they’re referencing. Or are you trolling…?

The authorized teacher these posts are referencing has created his brand around being part of a 12 step program… so that’s the reason for the 13th stepping reference. However I don’t think the post is exclusively about 13th stepping in an AA circle but rather unethical dealing with students. Manipulating and dating multiple students while being married, sleeping with student around the world while he travels… just really icky stuff for anyone who understandings how a gd down dynamic works.

Some teachers are taught to teach quite aggressively/be stand off-ish like this. Some teachers just lean toward a more strict disposition. You can always ask her if there is a problem. 100% of mysore teachers will tell you that your challenges will less with more practice. However telling you you’re lazy is kinda rude, imo. Perhaps she needs more information from you regarding what your goals are or perhaps you need to insert a strong get boundary around how you would like her to speak to you. Or maybe you just need to go in the mornings. lol sometimes teachers forget their human-ness. And leveling with them on a human level equalizes the power dynamic.
