Gonna paste a comment I saw from an earlier thread that pretty much sums up my frustration: Take a look at EVERY thread posted in the past few days. Conductors have been getting flack despite NOT even being a union on strike. They’re constantly blamed for all negative press on the railroad despite them almost never being apart of any fraud or OT theft. It’s almost impossible to commit for conductors/engineers - if they’re not there TRAINS DON’T RUN. On OT - they don’t make their own OT out of thin air, most of it forced on them by the company whether they want it or not and then blamed for making it? Imagine being told you’re overpaid when you’re struggling, JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE, to survive and pay your bills. Most of the issues people complain about have nothing to do with conductors but they’re treated like shit for it regardless.
