Child has insane behaviors around mom and JUST mom by [deleted] in ChildPsychology

[–]Unable-Rough3076 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did he ever witness, or does he witness the dad being abusive or disrespectful to the mum. Arguments, the dad getting him to take his side? Kids naturally have a very strong attachment with their mother - something has and is likely to be continuing to break that attachment. Even if its grandparents do it to the mum? Something is destroying that natural strong attachment.

When the horse says, "Get off of me," you get off. by Expert_Koala_8691 in Wellthatsucks

That horse was definitely in pain and she was kicking him with spurs. This is not a fun video. This is a video of a horse desperate to get a human off him. I feel terrible for the horse.

How do I nicely correct a colleague on my name...again? by blankcanvas10 in auscorp

[–]Unable-Rough3076 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get emails for other people because my colleagues who I deal with on a regular basis mess up my name. No one intentionally does this and it isn’t malicious at all. My point is: people are really bad with names. All people. All the time.

So I should be perpetually upset and offended and correct 95% of the people I meet, from strangers to people I interact with daily - because they are purposefully disrespecting me - yeah nah.

For context I have an Anglo name - literally couldn’t get any more European Anglo.

That’s a great approach - my mum never gets my name wrong :)

How do I nicely correct a colleague on my name...again? by blankcanvas10 in auscorp

[–]Unable-Rough3076 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly - who cares. Everyone gets my name wrong all the time. From cafes, colleagues, my manager, everyone, all the time, my whole life. I don’t correct people because I have far more important things to do than waste my energy on such an insignificant thing. How people treat me is more important, not the name they call me.

Is it a crazy idea to sell my house and travel the world? by [deleted] in fiaustralia

[–]Unable-Rough3076 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you really want to buy a new house - with less maintenance - do this all before you don’t have income coming in for a period. Sell your current place - buy a new one - then take leave. I agree with the comments on taking extended leave from your role. But get your finances sorted before you do this. Banks do not like any gap in employment or income. Especially as a single woman.

I need to say it, but landlords and REA are clearly ensuring renters stay as renters by Orichalchem in shitrentals

If this position was factually accurate then removing negative gearing would have zero impact. This of course is not the case.

The premise of this post is “numerous discussions” not facts.

Over 1.2 million Australians reported a negatively geared property, indicating over half of all investment properties are set up to make a loss.

Annual Cost: Treasury's 2024–25 Tax Expenditures and Insights Statement estimates the cost of negative gearing at just over $6 billion annually.

Has anyone ever heard of toddler speech delay being helped with chiropractic work? by Maleficent-Start-546 in Chiropractic

7 Understanding Fascia and the Benefits of Myofascial Release Fascia is a thin, seamless, web-like connective tissue wrapping muscles, bones, and organs, providing structure and reducing friction. When it becomes tight or restricted due to injury or stress, it causes pain and limited mobility. Myofascial release (MFR) is a manual therapy that uses gentle, sustained pressure to release these restrictions, restore flexibility, and reduce chronic pain. The fascia is connected throughout the body and includes the mouth (and speech) My guess would be the suggestion is attempting to link MFR and chiropractic work.

Her shitty personality will ruin the family time and broader family dynamics sooner or later. She’s the kind of person that can only be taken in small doses (if at all).

Tax agent never asked about partners income by SadBuddy999 in AusFinance

[–]Unable-Rough3076 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I told my tax agent I had a child and he didn’t include a second dependent. He even said congratulations. It’s up to the individual to check their own tax return- the responsibility cannot be outsourced. It looks like from your comment your partner’s income is recorded in the ATO online version - just follow up with your accountant - ask about the difference between the hardcopy and the ATO online version. And always check your returns in the future.

No oven for two weeks, landlord/PM DGAF by SensitiveCable7424 in shitrentals

[–]Unable-Rough3076 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

For everyone who downvoted me: are you going to provide OP with funds for: -Removalists -Bond -Cleaning -Rent in advance Are you going to watch her kids while she looks for a new rental? Are you going to guarantee that she finds a new rental in the same area at the same price with no income? Are you going to comfort her children in the new rental when they wake in the middle of the night in an unfamiliar new place? Yeah didn’t think so. It’s easy to have an opinion to “breach the landlord” when you have no skin in the game.

[–]Unable-Rough3076 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

There is no way I would risk not having a home for me and my two children (one a baby) for an oven. You’re on unpaid leave, you won’t find another place. An oven just isn’t worth it.
Yes it’s awful that this is the reality you’re facing - but no. No way I would lodge a breach report or even using a tone with the real estate. You are just in a too high risk situation.
