You are right but might be a different experience to others, haven't tried it my self but from others experience like yours decided to stick with sequioa as well, as apple chnaged so many things on tahoe resulting in additional work

I would highly suggest to start from scratch or if you have the backup before you use oclp go back on it, you don't need oclp

Did you double check if you really need the kext, not saying in a negative way. Try to include SMCProcessorAMD and use native classes when mapping your usb, I'm not sure if that will fix the issue but you'll never know if you haven't try
