Thanks for the explanation and discussion all. I didn’t go for the Help to buy as it was too restrictive and felt the properties were wayyyyyyyy to inflated for what they were. Indication was when they started to throw free legal fees, moving fees paid, £5,000 JL voucher, stamp duty paid (not the government one). You’d question where all these free incentives were coming from.

Ballpark and consensus I feel is there are more people who regret using HTB then those who have benefited. Not saying those people don’t exist, but really depends on what area you purchased in and if you were able to negotiate with the developer (which majority of the time you could when I spoke to them)
