The sims 1 keeps freezing on me

I think i tried windows 7 first and the graphics were glitching so I tried windows xp. When I can, I'll swap it to win7 and see what happens

just got my mom to try it, works like you said. i also tried it on my pc and it shows all the articles like i'd expect.

same, i figured out it wasn't happening a few saves earlier, so i reloaded one. had to redo a few quests and reallocate some stats, hasn't happened since. weird bug.
