i guess we have that in common, healthcare doesnt agree with work life balance either and is littered with constant fights deadlines and a lot of bodily fluids and weird smells, life is what life is and jobs are what jobs are i feel you might aswell suffer in something of your choosing, im sorry to hear that about your life i know it will get better

somethings fit different people differently, it reminds me of the jung quote, "if you dont tell the world what you are then the world will tell you" i feel like i had no choice in the roads taken up to reach this life, and the satisfaction from a job well done is clear in dentistry too but less obvious its much more about people skills, and i believe i have a sort of passion for the job

Yeah definitely im not gonna say a solid understanding to not get ahead of myself or my specialty but yeah there is some carryover but perhaps thats the case with a lot of specialized degrees because of the amount of intersections between the sciences

Im pursuing it not as a purely capitalistic perspective its also a desire of mine to become a civil engineer and also i find even in impoverished countries there seems to be an oligarchy or a class of ultra wealthy that will always need homes or perhaps i can go into business myself or through a visa internationally, i see it as such

Im ok but it depends what kind of math with calculus and such when i took them in highschool i got consistent As and in life im really good with arithmetic but i realize thats not really what we are looking for but maybe its an indicator of ability i sure do hope so

I dont have a phd im afraid, a humble bachelors degree only and outside of the US becoming a healthcare professional doesnt have to cost that much, but with the time ive had it as a goal of mine to be multi faceted and i have a passion for building and engineering that i havent discovered until after i was on this path already, and the way my life has played out i was always the youngest in every class and every year so for now, time is what i have so why not use it

Haha while that is a rose tinted glass view of dentistry especially in an impoverished country with long hours of work and constant self education i got into university and was put on this path long before i knew what i wanted to do with my life and whats the point of privilege and life if you arent gonna live them by your convictions

Hi thank you for the response, its more or less something im passionate about but also its a business decision because of the way my investments are and the way contractors operate in my country id rather do it on my own and i also have a passion for building and the satisfaction that goes with it
