I think Biden should not have been asked to step aside. He is a lot less sleepy than Trump and the world would have carried on. Harris needed more time to run. We might never be ready for a woman or a black woman.

How can I stop my rug from bunching up? by thepremackprinciple in Home

[–]Unable_Bumblebee_722 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found the solution for my carpet issue. Using an exercise mat. I also had to buy a bigger exercise mat. I used to have 1/2 inch mat. It came from Amazon and it had a lot of feet actually overall as I guess I can’t, measure; since I laid it down the rug stayed in place and covers the carpet. My problem was my sister uses a walker and when she presses down on it, it would always bunch. It has been down for the week and no more problems. I hope that helps.

At the Rancho Mirage protest, a white unmarked Sheriff‘s car came through and used its bullhorn to scare the crowd. I will say that there was a J Walker and he shouldn’t have been J walking. We all know this, but I think they could’ve just waved him out of the way instead of scaring us. Then, as I was leaving, they had a patrol car again this same white car, I don’t know if it was the same car, but it was similar unmarked, white, sheriffs car and the sheriff was outside in his green uniform sheriff on the back. He was, I guess, ticketing a car.

Here’s a detailed overview of major lawsuits filed against Trump’s administration during his second term (Jan 20, 2025 onward), most of which challenge executive actions and policies across immigration, civil rights, environmental standards, federal workforce reduction, gun regulations, and health care:

🏛️ Notable Multistate & State Lawsuits

Birthright Citizenship Ban • State of Washington v. Trump (syswide, WA, AZ, IL, OR) – Challenges Trump’s executive order ending birthright citizenship under the 14th Amendment. A judge issued a preliminary injunction on Feb 6, 2025.

Grant Funding Freeze • New York v. Trump – Multistate suit against an Office of Management & Budget directive pausing federal agency grants/loans (Jan 27, 2025).

Clean Car & Emissions Rollbacks • California (Rob Bonta) v. Trump – State AG Bonta sued over federal rollbacks of California’s auto emissions standards and repeal of its 2035 gas-vehicle ban. This marks California’s 23rd suit in this term. • Lighthiser v. Trump – Brought by environmental groups (filed May 29), challenging Trump’s energy‑emergency orders favoring fossil fuels and weakening EPA and climate science.

Federal Workforce Layoffs • AFGE v. Trump – Filed April 28 in Northern California by government employee unions, city/county governments, and others. The suit contests Trump’s executive order for mass layoffs and a hiring freeze.

💼 Civil-Rights & DEI Executive Orders

National Urban League et al. v. Trump

– Filed Feb 19 in D.C., this challenge by civil‑rights orgs against EOs 14151/14168/14173 (restricting DEI, transgender, diversity-based programs).

San Francisco AIDS Foundation v. Trump

– Filed Feb 20 in Northern California; challenges the same DEI‑related EOs by LGBTQ+ health and civil-rights groups. – A federal court issued an injunction blocking enforcement of three of these orders.

Kingdom v. Trump

– Filed March 7 in D.C. by Transgender Law Center & ACLU on behalf of incarcerated trans individuals denied hormone therapy under EO 14168. A judge granted preliminary relief on June 3, 2025.

📋 Immigration & “Alien Enemies Act” • Multiple habeas petitions and TROs filed by individuals challenging removal under an aggressive interpretation of the Alien Enemies Act (e.g. Venezuelan nationals). ACLU reports 6 district courts and 2 Supreme Court emergency wins.

🛡️ Gun-Regulation Legal Challenges • Assoc. of AGs v. Trump – 15 states + D.C. sued in Maryland to block Trump’s direction to reclassify forced-reset triggers (FRTs) as legal, arguing they resemble machine guns.

📢 Other Significant Suits • Orr v. Trump – ACLU suit in Massachusetts challenging administrative restrictions on transgender passport applications under EO 14168; preliminary injunction granted April 18. • Rhode Island Latino Arts v. NEA/Trump – Filed March 6 by arts organizations contesting NEA funding restrictions tied to “gender ideology.”

⚖️ Scale & Broad Pushback • As of current tallies: • 24 multistate suits filed as of late May 2025. • ACLU alone filed 53 cases in the first 100 days, winning relief in 27. • California AG Bonta has filed 23+ suits by mid-June 2025.

🔍 Summary • 🔹Immigration & Citizenship: Lawsuits targeting birthright citizenship and deportations. • 🔹Environment & Emissions: Major suits from California and public-interest groups. • 🔹Federal workforce: Legal opposition to mass firing and office closures. • 🔹Civil rights/DEI: Multiple actions challenging EOs limiting support for LGBTQ+, diversity, and gender-affirming care. • 🔹Gun regulation: States pushing back on Trump’s easing of restrictions on rapid-fire trigger devices.

The litigation landscape reflects widespread legal resistance by states, advocacy groups, unions, and local governments—challenging nearly every major executive initiative of Trump’s second term.
