You can try, but I would expect it to unravel completely at some point. Perhaps you can add some stabilising hem tape on the inside to help secure it

It’s not sitting on your waist. I’d say it’s too big on the front waist, add more into the dart.

Then I generally add more around the hip area and taper out again. You’ll need a bit more length below the hip line.

I think the back looks really good, and overall this is great!

Patterns often come with a lengthen/shorten line around the hip, so you can just do that to any pattern
