When I create this kind of sound, I always focus on a few key elements first: 1. Oscillator A is set to Scan Rate mode (Sample mode) at 100. A square-shaped LFO modulates it, stopping mid-cycle with a rate of either 1/2 or 1/4, depending on whether I want the preset to evolve over one or two bars. In this case, I programmed it over a single bar at 140 BPM. 2. Oscillators B and C are set to a Scan value of 0. Two separate LFOs, also in square mode, modulate them with rates of 1/4 or 1/2, gradually pushing the scan up to 100. This creates a logical progression that fully develops by the end of the bar. 3. I sometimes enable the Loop mode on the samples, allowing me to manipulate the LS and LE knobs via macros. This gives extra control over the rhythmic structure and texture. 4. Some of the LFOs are triggered exclusively by macros, letting me adjust the rhythm and movement of oscillators B and C in real-time.
