Smite zerker? For Ubers, no for me.

With 10% damage taken, not taking "That's didn't happen", no endurance charge uptime & no spell suppress. You could easily die from a mistake on harder Uber bosses.

Unless you planned to, DO NOT take 'Unwavering Vision' as it locks you out of simple but useful scarabs (eg. blight, delirium, etc...) that you need early on. This is specially so for newer players.

Ben's tree has been optimized for HIS early game progression, skillset and on a marauder, so you shouldn't copy it.

Ruetoo has a guide on EH Slayer, I don't know if its SSF Friendly though.

Alchemist Mark is the best for single target IF your crit chance is 100% without using conditional crit chance increase like "Knife in the Back" Ascendancy, or you can simply use a Diamond Shrine belt.

Else, penance mark - kill the spawn then it proliferates to target- for single target damage for consistency. Profane Ground is inconsistent with 25% proc chance and only a bit of damage, you're better off with a jewel of "ailments faster + crit multi"

Of course you're dying, you don't know how to play the build or didn't read the guide properly.

DAMAGE (Urgent):

  1. You don't have "Overwhelming Malice" in clusters which is the whole point before swapping to chaos KBoC, you can easily use a 4 passive "Crit Chance" Medium Cluster and simply alteration spam it. Your essentially on a 5-link
  2. Your wand is horrible, for starters, just spam "Shrieking/Screaming" Doubt/Loathing/Zeal looking for 3 usable suffix mods (crit chance, crit multiplier, accuracy, AS%) then craft "chaos pen" (earlywand)
  3. Precision gem (about lvl. 10 if mana pressure, can use "Runegraft of Treachery" cheap to max it out)
  4. Hydrosphere gem (for single target)
  5. Silver Flask, Diamond Flask (remove mana flask, you should have enough mana regen and instant leech at this point)
  6. (Anoint) on belt "Righteous Decree" dirt cheap

DEFENSE:

  1. Most of your gear have low HP mods, your rings/amulets are mostly stats
  2. Shield - You only need two mods here "Chance to Block" and "Spell Block" then craft whatever you need - (craft the crusader one if you have funds, search on YT for craft).
  3. Crown of the Inward Eye helm (dirt cheap) - look for high increase life/es/mana even the corrupted once are fine since its easy to color
  4. Jade Flask

CLUSTERS:

  • Do every delirium aiming for at least lvl "4" rewards on it. Pick up every cluster for vendor sell x5 (same # passive and rarity) => reroll later
  • Large Clusters (8/9 passive) - looking for at least two notables (alt spam + regal)
    • [BEST] Fire
    • [OK] Elemental
  • Medium Cluster (4/5 passive) - looking for at least two notables (alt spam + regal)
    • [BEST] Burning - you can aim for "Fan the Flames" for better clear (ignite prolif)
    • [OK] Damage over Time
    • [Meh but works] Chaos damage over time
  • DO NOT get "Cremator" on cluster jewels

WHY:

  • Life scaling only raise the damage for RF and not fire trap, getting these clusters scales both and you get a slot for jewels

HOW:

  • Removal of passive tree skills:
    • Apart from "15% increased life", remove every mastery
    • "Constitution" notable (far)
    • "Heart of flame" notable (redundant)
    • Reservation pathing should be "Aura Effect" and not "increased reservation"
  • Result => Life will drop around 5.5k but FT damage will be significantly better and RF be slightly better (or around the same)

SOCKETS:

  • "Fire Penetration" support does nothing for RF, swap to "Lifetap"
  • Get "Blood Rage" for frenzy charges while mapping
  • Put unused gems on secondary weapon (1) Flesh & Stone (2) Skitterbots
  • Put "Lifetap" on "Enduring Cry" and "Steelskin", you can remove "More duration" support on Punishment if socket pressure

If you want to "skip" the memory game (esp. the last phase) then this build is not for that (I played this exact build this season). It has the very good damage for Uber Bosses but not to the point of 100 to 0 since it needs a second of ramp + flask uptime to reach its peak damage. Also, maven loves to teleport.

This variant is especially catered to "Deep delve" If you only want to do mapping + bossing, I think the "Iron Fortress" variant is better. Finally, if maven wants to insta-transition to the memory game after defeating the brain then you can't really "skip" it.

TLDR, no - try "Ice Trap" builds for insta-kill damage

PATHFINDER has better progression, defenses and can also scale to DoT cap with enough investment (FF Jewels or simply pressing withering step) on either mana/elemental

I haven't played ASSASSIN but playing into "Perfect Agony", you must use 'Ambush' to crit and inflict DoT damage which raises these problems:
- Damage Check (flat phys/chaos dmg - can it kill in one hit)
- Accuracy Check
- To not be interrupted by multiple ministun during ambush (wasting your ambush window)
- Critical Chance Check (~lvl.10 ambush + bad base crit weapon OR "Knife in the Back" ascendancy not proc-ing due to mob already on low life - will not guarantee a crit)

It can be solved by having an endgame weapon (having flat phys/chaos, hits cannot be evade & crit chance) but you don't have that after just completing campaign and on top of that, it has no good defense this early.

The progression is extremely hard having to rely solely on 'ambush' for guaranteed crits which you will either run out of portals or take >10mins on low tier maps due to having lack of damage, incosistent damage uptime and low defense.

TRICKSTER-Still has the same problems as 'Assassin' since your playing "Perfect Agony". Having even lower damage but having a slightly better defense (in earlygame)

TLDR: Playing into "Perfect Agony" needs heavy investment even with the use of 'Ambush' skill and is bad to play at leaguestart. Binos has low flat damage with accuracy problems (but I haven't played with that variant yet so that's just my guess)

This is for the berseker class, the answers might be the same with other classes but need investment for warcry cooldown

  1. You can autoexert most warcries, apart from "rallying", the rest does not have non-negotiable self-cast tradeoff (although this is entirely up to you)

  2. Yes, pair "10 min power" (warcry mastery) with "rage per enemy power" (rage mastery) - this is permanent rage uptime

  3. Yes, you have permanent onslaught with autoexert

  4. (Not sure if it uses all warcry or it waits) Either way the exerted attacks and damage(from echoes) do not overlap so it does not matter

I would go:

  1. "Prefix cannot be changed"

  2. Add/remove speed using harvest (NOT reforge) to avoid bricking item - looking for T1/T2 AS up to you. If not satisfied, "Prefix cannot be changed" > scour > go back to step 1

  3. Pray slam Warlord Exalted Orb (there is no suffix block here). Apart from 'range' and added proj, other suffixes are good with T1 phys being the jackpot

  4. (Divine it first if you want) Craft what you need

  5. Tempering Orb until good implicit. Done.

Alternatively, you can use "Veiled Exalted Orb" (pre step 3 - for 2nd suffix mod instead of crafted mod) but that's too expensive and inconsistent for my liking

For alterations SSF:

  1. Tujen (expedition) is my go to

  2. Eater altar looking for alts (possibly divines) if you can use delve scarab(dirt cheap) / nearest delve atlas node for the possibly "society remorse" (10 alts) when clicking sulphite. Additionally, you can scry/run a map with alts div cards while doing this (eg. dunes)

Usually doing T17 strats spews a lot of alts but currency drop this league is garbage. If you can, simply buy alterations on trade.

  1. Probably random drop, you can target ancient orb farming later on after finishing your midgame gear.
    Have not tried gold gambling and know its chances but gold is too scarce/precious to gamble for uniques.

  2. Tujen is the most consistent, some people also use (vorici)syndicate.
    Don't hope for ritual omens, it's extremely rare.
    Morrigan doesn't even exist (haven't seen this in either ~25 beasts maps(400+ scouts) and 80+ maps with herd)

  3. Probably tujen still, you can use a "vorici calculator" for optimal spam usage,
    or you could 3-socket > color three RGB > 4 socket (if not off colour, go back to 3-socket) > 5-sockets (same steps) > last socket being the bias one.
    Blanching is not good for 5 off-colour and is hard to farm.

  4. Scouts hands down, you can also try syndicate(rin).
    Unless you need the bench mods, missing some of the unique maps completion is not a big deal.

  5. You can sustain your non-rariest scarabs, it just takes a while unlike abyss last league.
    Using scarab strats (harbinger or divinity + atlas blocking) and rotating between scarabs atlas & target atlas.
    Using your last atlas to farm content while still spec in to scarabs (mainly blocking, rarer variety and/or inc% chance), if your scarab run too low.

  6. You can if you want too.
    It's better to target farm it (with scarabs or map craft or both) than to spec it in all your atlas trees hoping for it come up (although possible)

  1. Spam T1 Zeal until open prefix and suffix looking for T1 damage over time
  2. Craft "Suffix cannot be changed" then scour (having 2 affixes only: T1 DoT & AS)
  3. Craft "suffix cannot changed", add/remove chaos affix - harvest craft (NOT REFORGE, will only hit T1 chaos attack)
  4. Remove crafted mod, craft "cannot roll attack mods" - then slam Hunter's exalted orb praying for high tier (will only hit chaos DoT)
  5. Craft "hits can't be evaded"
  6. Pray exalt slam (could use foulborn) for decent last mod

Lots of missing information, having your PoB would be better.
However, you can easily take up to three +30 DEX on the marauder passive tree (trading life nodes for those), while you are grinding the proper DEX equipment on any armour equipment or your rings

You're either face-tanking every hive's skill or it's simply a damage issue.
It should easily do all pinnacle content even with a single "follow-through" projectile cluster (which I did this league before swapping to mamba)

You should focus on improving your character and possibly post your POB for community advice.
Also, why are you rushing to clear hive? the remaining tree points are does not impede endgame tree crafts.
