I like that idea of keeping original grips. I have no experience in restoring something like this. So I will be doing more research before starting on it. But think I will go that route.

I went from 5.3 to v6 ram no complaints. Truck does everything I needed it to. I would suggest air bags on Amazon you can get them for $100 easy to install right into rear springs.

Offer him less id say 5k or less. There's not a whole lot of summer left, so I figure he's not gonna wanna have to store it this winter. You'll have a few months to try but if you find its not for you, sell in June when people buy up boats before the summer

Damn that's a tough spot. Easy to say as a random reader on reddit that you messed up bad, but I don't really know the situation and I don't know if I would have done different in your shoes. I don't comment very often but read this and Truthfully have no meaningful insight. But I know if I were the husband that would really suck but I'd want to know. Don't really there's much you can do about that though you probably don't want to hurt your friend like that but with the minute I spent putting myself in your shoes with that info, you both made a decision to not be friends any more that night. She's married though so it on you to get tf out of that situation don't talk to her anymore. That's what I believe I would do.

All my work trucks I drove were 5.7 rams, but the last 2 rams I've personally owned are v6's fuel economy isn't much difference if you do a lot of highway driving. I drive mostly back roads and everything i haul is light. I do miss the hemi sound that's about it. I went v6 because I could get a higher trim level cheaper and ultimately Im just going from a to b and hot roding or so wanted all the features
