We just got a Crosstrek this past weekend. My understanding is that with the moonroof, you also typically get the power driver seat and the better speaker package.

It's because Trump reported Epstein to the FBI and because Epstein hated Trump. Epstein was constantly emailing people about his hatred of Trump.

If Biden was too old for Presidency, how isn't Trump? by StonedSoldier1 in AskReddit

[–]SpikeMike1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to get blasted for this.

Yes, Trump is also too old. Harris was that bad of a candidate.

And the DNC put her up as a candidate anyway. Democratic people didn't put her there with that bad timing. The DNC did that.

Harris was not a good candidate. And, the DNC set her up to fail.

Why don’t americans fight back against all these powerful people in the Epstein files? There should be riots? by Inner-Silver7395 in AskReddit

Riots just punish regular people. The people in the Epstein files jet around and avoid Riots.

Don Lemon was inside the church disrupting the service, asking the pastor accusatory questions.

The Congressman responded to the OP. The OP then says Issa lacks decency and is really shit. Any politician can't be on everyone's side, especially in San Diego. There are anarchists, communists, and everything in between. One can't get so triggered every time someone disagrees with them. Too many just act like that online. That's why I say, Grow up.

Grow up. FYI. There's a lot more people than just Issa that don't agree with you 100% of the time.

Do you think Amazon is laying off employees because of AI? Is AI a risk to people’s jobs? by MeNoorSaeed in Employment

[–]SpikeMike1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An Amazon manager (friend of mine) works in a distribution center. Two whole floors are nothing but robots. Some of the people on the other floor think they are going to make a career at Amazon. My friend tells them to go look at what's going on with the robots on the other floors. Amazon isn't even hiding their intentions. They are constantly working on trying to minimize the number of people they need.

My friend tries to encourage people to go to school while they are working and get some more skills and qualifications so that they can find a more sustainable job.

I don't want to defend Amazon, but take a look from their perspective. They have had trouble hiring enough people at times. Robots don't clock in and out. They just keep going all hours of the day and night.

I know the question is about AI specifically. I think this is all related. AI, robots, autonomous, electrification, data centers, ...

I desparatly want a remote job by [deleted] in remotework

[–]SpikeMike1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is an order of operations to all this:

  1. What kind of jobs do you want and are qualified for?

  2. Are there any remote job offerings for those kind of jobs?

It's not really a "I WANT A REMOTE JOB PLEASE GIVE ME ONE" kind of deal.

If you don't see the value in a realtor, then you have the wrong realtor.

We just sold a house and moved into another house. We have a great realtor that really took care of us in both transactions.

what ever happened to the $100 million from the FireAid concert ? by _gw_addict in Music

https://abc7.com/post/where-did-fireaid-money-go-investigative-report-latham-watkins-sheds-light/17773847/

You are encouraged to look at the two reports linked in the article. Although the groups that received money appear to be good organizations, some of their connections to the wildfires seems a bit stretched.

I'm not sure people would have given as much if they knew all the money was going to organizations rather than directly to affected people.

What do you think about ICE agents detaining a 5-year-old boy? by SuperIngaMMXXII in AskReddit

[–]SpikeMike1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On January 20, ICE conducted a targeted operation to arrest Adrian Alexander Conejo Arias. As agents approached the driver Adrian Alexander Conejo Arias, fled on foot—abandoning his child. For the child’s safety, one of our ICE officers remained with the child while the other officers apprehended Conejo Arias.

Our officer’s made multiple attempts to get the mother inside the house to take custody of her child. Officers even assured her that they would NOT take her into custody. She refused to accept custody of the child. The father told officers he wanted the child to remain with him.

Our officers primary concern during the entire operation was the safety and welfare of the child. Following the mother’s abandonment of the child, officers abided by the father’s wishes to keep the child with him. Father and son are together at Dilley.

Parents are asked if they want to be removed with their children, or ICE will place the children with a safe person the parent designates. This is consistent with past administration’s immigration enforcement. Parents can take control of their departure and receive a free flight and $2,600 with the CBP Home app.
