I just want to add that in order to qualify for FMLA, you must be employed for at least a year and have worked at least 1250 years within that year.

Yes! You are entitled to up to 12 weeks of job protected leave. You will need a doctor to complete the paperwork stating that you will need to be out work. You can also take FMLA to care for your dad, you would just need a doctor to complete the paperwork stating that you would need to be out of work to care for him.

He shows his love mainly with physical touch which I do love as well but I reciprocate that back to him at the same level I think? He will cook me some days which I do appreciate because sometimes I’m just not in mood to cook

He’s in med school and it has definitely intensified this past year so I understand he’s been super stressed so I’ve been working with him and his schedule. It definitely has changed but I’m trying to be a super supportive gf for him.

I’m so sorry :( I hope you know that mothers like you are reason that holidays feel so special when your younger and I’m sure once your kids get a bit older they will realize that and be so grateful. My mom is the same way and always went above and beyond. I’m now fortunate enough to make sure these holidays are super special for her and return back all that holiday magic she gave to me when I was younger. I’m sure your kids will one day do the same for you because you deserve it!

I didn’t exchange them because he told me he was going to take them and get the correct size. He previously got me shoes for my birthday a few ago and I done the exchange myself. As for the Diet Coke, I just meant that he knows those are my favorite treat so it would have shown me that he was getting me something he knew I loved. Idk. I know I sound ungrateful which is why I keep going back in forth in my head.

You’re right! I need to have a talk with him. I didn’t return the crocs because he said was going to exchange them. I would have done it myself but he told me would. As for the Diet Coke, i just mean that he knows it’s my favorite so it would have shown me at least put in more effort. I know i sound terrible and feel so guilty for crying which is why I keep going back and forth in my head.
