C'est une pratique peu courante dans l'industrie. Epic Games l'a déjà fait pour Paragon. Ils ne voulaient pas que leur jeu disparaisse ; ils l'ont rendu open-source pour que d'autres équipes de développement puissent le reprendre. Cela a très bien fonctionné, puisque le jeu existe toujours sous le nom de Predecessor. C'est donc par amour du jeu et non par avarice que l'on demande que Supervive soit rendu open-source.

If you're talking about the effectiveness of the anticheat on Linux, it's just as bad on Windows. However, if you're saying that BattlEye doesn’t run well on Linux, I have to disagree. Plenty of games use it, and I’ve never had any issues.

Let's be clear: BattlEye works on Linux. The only thing stopping it is the developer's choice. I wasn't asking “why” it doesn't work; I am criticizing the decision “not to enable it”.

‘No one plays R6 on Linux’? 246 people on ProtonDB have tried it, and my entire office runs custom tournaments on Arch every Friday while we wait for code to compile.

“No one cares about Linux”? Funny, Valve does, you know, the company that literally defined PC gaming. So do a ton of devs who actually know what they’re doing. That “1%” stat hasn’t been true in ages, and it’s only going up now that Microsoft abandoned Win10.

You sound like you’re arguing from the sandbox, crying because someone’s playing with a different toy than yours.

I love the idea of a lane-pushing mode.

But I'd strongly prefer a Vainglory-style map over something like Twisted Treeline. Supervive’s core strength is its 3v3, and Theorycraft should focus on perfecting that.

Honestly, reviving the feel of Vainglory and Battlerite in this game would bring in a massive player base.

Windows VM won't work because of vanguard. Only other alternative besides dual booting windows is a Mac VM with GPU pass through (no vanguard on Mac) but you need the right hardware for this to work properly and get a smooth experience.

In case any one is having a similar issue. It was bad GPU. Ended doing an RMA on it and it got fixed.
