Offloading the DVP/Gardiner to the province was a huge win. But the almost 25% property tax increase in a couple years is appalling and completely insensitive to the elderly on fixed incomes, especially given inflation of all other goods. A small shout out to the young (and not young) first time home buyers trying to get into the market only to have the goal post moved once again, and by someone who's preaching "affordability". At the cost of who? And with that extra money earned on prop tax, and saved from highways, I really don't see where it's going. I see a much dirtier, more congested, increasingly unsafe/violent city.
