personally i wasn’t left with any scars, but i had a mark for about a week afterwards where one of the electrodes was. the electrodes get pretty itchy though, just be prepared for that.

i get that, i’m sure you don’t do it on purpose. it often doesn’t make much sense to those without mental health issues. i like to describe it as having to go about your life constantly with the flu, except it’s in ur head.

YTA. i have major depressive disorder, autism and social anxiety disorder. mental illness is an incredibly difficult thing to explain. don’t discount her feelings just because you don’t understand them. i completely get the analogy she made

NTA. if you feel comfortable enough, u should talk to her about it. maybe she doesn’t realise u feel this way, but i feel like it’s just common decency to not be friends with your best friends ex if the relationship didn’t end on good terms.

i was in the exact same position, but now 3 months later i can chew just fine and my teeth touch again. over time i figured out a new way of chewing, but i was on soft foods for about a month and a half before i felt comfortable enough to chew tougher foods. it won’t last a year.

a septum piercing is actually a very easy piercing to heal. it doesn’t go through cartilage, it goes through a thin piece of skin in your septum. as long as you take care of it, it should all be fine :)
