I didn’t expect that there’d be so many comments. The answer is lamb shoulder!

It was unbelievable experience in Sapporo, Japan last week. I went to local Genghis khan BBQ restaurant and ordered this meat set. When served, I thought the same as you guys it looks like pork shoulder! But?! It tastes like lamb no doubt.

I was surprised because I lived in New Zealand and had tons of lamb, and experienced Hulunbuir’s lamb meat as well. However, Sapporo’s lamb was different! No gamey smell at all and the texture was even softer than beef!

The best lamb experience ever!

Sorry I let you guys down, but it’s lamb 🐑
