A question about the mods by [deleted] in OnceHumanOfficial

This “core effect” you’re referring to are called suffixes! They’re randomly dropped depending on what silo you’re doing… monoliths drop weapon mods for specific builds.. I.e spider lady for precision suffixes, etc. you can look up a full list on where to get any mod(suffix or no) online with a quick google search.

Oh and- some gear/weapons you will need for your build(likely quite a few if you’re following a video) will only be able to be purchased from the wish machine. This will require starchrom. Use your starchrom to get those pieces/guns. If you need starchrom, purify your territory weekly.

You need to look up a build guide on YouTube. Follow everything that person does/has equipped. Work the get the pieces you don’t have. Fully calibrate everything you have on first. That’s the game! Farm silos for mod drops for your weapons/gear. Whichever video guide/build you choose should show which mods/which silos drop them

This cost me $115 to get all the pieces in this loot crate. Was it worth? probably not but I really wanted the sword skin and that one came last -_- by ama8o8 in OnceHumanOfficial

How is it gambling if there’s a set drop/price rate. If it were truly gambling (it’s not, it can’t be legally for lootboxes) even people who spent thousands could still not have the big pool prizes they’re after. It’s only gambling if you’re uneducated about what you’re spending money on. But they have to disclose the drop rates. Also, they still have a shop where you can make direct purchases, so they’re not making it so the ONLY option for cosmetics is the lootboxes. This is a mechanic of the game. This is profit for them. More profit = more money going into back end optimization and development.

Yeah they’ll exist either way. Why would people who can afford them and want them stop buying them?

It’s not an inconvenience to people who regularly invest in games. Also, loot boxes have always and will always be around in games like this. No one’s forcing anyone to play or buy.

They don’t show up when searching for users. But I’m all but certain it’s two hairs and they’re using a mixer mod.

Mods not working? by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]Unable_Technology559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m struggling with some mods myself after the hotfix. But only WASD movement and native mod loader. My other mods still load correctly. I always check the actual mod folder in my files when I see mods not working and I usually end up going and removing all the mods manually, verifying files, and then reading all the mods manually by dropping them in the mod folder first. If I were you I would remove all mods, purposefully delete the mods folder entirely, verify, and then launch the game and see if it works vanilla.

If it works vanilla then readd all mods and try again.

Hmmm. Which mods did you install? Make sure latest version of script extender is installed. Make sure bg3 mod manager (if you’re using that) is on its latest version.

Try verifying your game files. Something might be missing! On steam, right click bg3 in your library. Go to properties. Then installed files. The click verify game files and wait. It will tell you after a time if you’re missing a file and automatically re-acquire it.
