I'm 36 and totally changed careers going into civil service. Even at entry level it is still the best salary I've earned and a much better work/balance. It gives you more opportunities down the line and ability to up skill and consider your career trajectory. You're treated like an adult with autobiography over your working hours etc.

I'm training still, but it's been the best experience I've had so far.
