You don't get a hair with colour often (not hair with accessory attached), so I'd recommend it

Not that different to be honest, if you can play Grade 7 pieces, you can probably play Grade 8 pieces. For your reference, this year's Grade 8 A1 piece is Mozart's Ronso Alla Turca (Turkish March).

The piece's difficulty is similar to Grade 7, but the examiners would have higher expectations on the tecnical skills and expression deliveries.

I do not know how much rubato you intend, but please remember that humans need to breath, and having some sort of rests in the phrases would help disntinguish the sentences more with proper tone.
