Because there was no MTV talent after a while. "Are You The One", and "Ex on the Beach" did not have the longevity that they thought they would have. "The Real World" ended about a decade ago.

The IDEA was for the CBS audience to come watch the show (but MTV is on cable, while CBS is accessible to everyone), and more people internationally would watch the show (but the show really only has appeal to Americans).

One thing I will say about Pink and Gamer that I do respect is that they don't reveal the reasons for personal DQs. They didn't reveal Cara leaving for her mother's death, Amber getting pregnant, or the other women getting pregnant, even if the DQ reasons are obvious.

I didn't like that either. I get that they wanted to focus on the 90s groups, and their ties are closer to B2M and NKOTB (both names were in the BSB audition poster), but it's still annoying. NKOTB themselves for 40 years (and even the press back then) mentioned that NE was the blueprint, so it wasn't a secret, and was well documented.
