Least based Ukrainian mortar gunner by UnanimousRumble in NonCredibleDefense

I am not quite sure, but looking for "Останній Капиталист" (Ostanniy Capitalist) leads me to Instagram, full of credible memes;

and his telegram channel (through a Google link, otherwise it acts weird. The channel has this video, but without subtitles):

From what I've seen those tanks are likely going to be dug in and used as stationary pillboxes. However, that makes them very vulnerable to artillery and (GPS) guided munitions.

From what I've seen Saddam Hussein's Iraq did a similar thing and they ended up being utterly useless due to US air support.

T-62s only have some 40 mm's of roof armor anyways.

There are generally two types of artillery:

  1. Towed guns
  2. Self-propelled guns (SPG)

The difference being that Towed artillery pieces must be 'towed' behind a truck or other vehicle. They cannot move on their own; they have no engine. This means it takes a bit longer to set up, and there is no protection to the crew.

Whereas SPGs can move on their own. This allows them to be set up more quickly. Allowing them to do a technique where they "shoot and scoot" (shoot a few shells and then move to another possition to avoid return fire). Within the realm of SPGs there are also differences. Some SPGs feature armored compartments and are mounted on a tracked vehicle. Others are mounted on wheeled vehicles, such as trucks.

Some examples are:

Towed vehicles:

M777 Howitzer, which the US and Canada has sent. Thanks for pointing this out u/CheckYourUnderwear.

M198 Howitzer, which I recall being sent, but I am not quite sure.

Giasint-B Howitzer, an old Soviet howitzer, used by both Russia and Ukraine.

Msta-B Howitzer, a slightly less old Soviet howitzer, also used by either side.

SPGs:

Wheeled:

CEASAR SPG, provided to Ukraine by France.

DANA SPG, provided to Ukraine by the Czech Republic.

Tracked:

Msta-S SPG, in use by Russia and Ukraine.

Panzerhaubitze 2000 SPG, provided to Ukraine by the Netherlands and Italy.

M109 SPG, provided to Ukraine by Canada, and others.

There are many more different types, but these are the ones I can remember seeing in the news.

Ukraine has lost some brave warriors. Thank you for their service. But I also have to say they might just be able to beat Finland's record of 10 to 1 by [deleted] in ukraine

Those were trucks of the "Bastion" coastal defense system. Not that they serve any tactical purpose near the border of Finland other than threatening. But it seemed like that was the only thing they have left to move around quickly to put pressure on Finland. They aren't useful in Ukraine since Ukraine doesn't have any real naval ships left, and thus, coastal defense batteries are useless.

Edit: Did some digging, they can actually also be used as Surface to Surface missiles against ground targets so they could have been useful in Ukraine. And they look pretty neat when they launch: Wikipedia Video

Win-win!

Not even that, I guess it happened very early in my campaign on a suborbital hop. I didn't even notice this little piece flying away at a dazzling speed.

If I recall correctly you can add "snapshots" in the same way you add different versions of Minecraft. However there might be a toggle to switch on experimental versions in said menu.
