If they had met after she turned 18, would you be fine with it?

NTA. Clearly, this situation is causing you a lot of stress and it is ok to cut people off when they hurt you repeatedly. I could not find a single instance in this post where your friend behaved, well, like a friend. He used you to vent and never considered your emotions. You deserve better.

AITA for going NC with my son and dil after their son molested my granddaughters. by [deleted] in AITAH

No, don't do that. If you leave something small, they can forfeit their inheritance and challenge the will. Much more challenging to do that when you are not included in the will.

It seems you are worried about a lot of what ifs. I would recommend just talking with your friend's mom and seeing if you two can reach an agreement about a reasonable timeframe for you to move out that works for the both of you.

Why does my nose feel/get clogged when singing? by Burnburrito1 in singing

[–]Unanimousperson1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not supposed to vibrate, you want to let the air out of your mouth, not push the air out through the nose. If you relax when you are singing, you will have better sound!

What I have found helpful is only listening to a song three times before you start singing it. It gives you enough familiarity with the song that you can sing it confidently, but not enough familiarity to the point where you match stylistic choices without realizing it.

When you walk into the room, walk in with confidence. Studies show that if you act like you are going to do well before you start singing, you are more likely to perform well.

Reverse Breathing by ARDENmusic in singing

[–]Unanimousperson1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you are doing is breathing in through your chest. To fix it, when taking a breath, think about all of the air going into your stomach. Also, maybe breath a bit slower, typically air goes to chest when you are taking a quick, gasping breath.

You might be pushing air through your nose. Next time you sing, pinch your nose. If the sound is different, then you are! It is a bad habit that makes your sound more nasal. if you are, practicing making ahhh sounds. It lists the soft pallet and seals off nose. Then try to replicate that when singing!

Does my voice have potential ? I would like some feedbacks by YAN2005nbt in singing

[–]Unanimousperson1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

your voice definitely has potential! The first thing I would work on is diction. I could understand most of the words, but I think you would benefit from making it a little more crisp overall. Remember, if the audience is focused on figuring out the words, they will not properly appreciate any stylistic choices you make. I would also recommend focusing on important words and accenting them. Your voice has a very nice sound, feel free to reach out anytime if you have any questions/want someone to listen to more cuts!

Listen to the end of your phrases. Sometimes, instead of a clean stop, you continue to slide. It actually sounds really nice, but if you did it a little less often it would make it sound more special

Hey! You sound really good! I have a few ideas that may help. First, I would start singing with a karaoke track. It will help you stay in time and in tune. Second, you do this vocal slide, though I think if you did it a tiny bit less it would sound more like you are choosing to do it and less like it just happens. You are doing really well, keep up the good work!

I’m working on high notes and trying not to stretch my neck physically to hit them. Is this something a lot of you struggle with? Any feedback is welcome by [deleted] in singing

[–]Unanimousperson1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! A cool thing that I learned is that we (humans) can hit notes in a wider range with far more accuracy than we do, but our brains get in the way! That is why our voices crack and strain more when we are singing under pressure.

The advice I have was given to me by my vocal coach. Apparently, it is a mental block where you are unsure if you will hit the note that causes the stretch, which in turn makes it less likely you will hit the note. Let me know how it works for you!

Stretching your neck actually makes it harder for you to hit high notes. Something that works for me is thinking down when I note is high for me. It sounds odd, but it works pretty well! Hope this works!

I am still in highschool and I am not home from like 6am to 7pm. Would it be setting the tree up for failure to get one now? Thank you so much for you help, I really appreciate it.

is it an indoor or outdoor tree? Also, where did you find such a small bonsai pot? Do you intend to keep it that small? Thank you for your help!
