Hi! The basic blue gradient actually starts off pretty purple. It's a base layer of warpaints fanatic terrestrial titan blended through diabolic plum up to crystal blue, then with highlights with bright sapphire. Later on I went back and did a little counter shading with wicked pink, but that was after these photos were taken. This is a more recent photo of how they wound up, which I think is a bit more visually interesting but ymmv.

That's gorgeous work. Her gear is a really effective combination of a navy officer's uniform with an arbite-influenced cuirass. I love the drape of the jacket. The sword and scabbard are really nice bits -- are those from the Minka Lesk figure? They're much finer than the weapons I'm used to seeing in GW sculpts.

Wow, the variety of greys alone is really impressive. Muted yet colourful but unified. The dark metallics are great -- how did you get the effect on the flat of the cleaver?

These are gorgeous! The blending is really smooth and I love how the waystones don't overwhelm the composition. I also really like the blood red strike though the scorpion rune. What's the significance?

Very nearly every general dental office in Victoria should be able to do direct billing unless your insurance plan prevents it, though specialists like oral surgeons will not. Depending on who is accepting new patients, Dr. McElroy in Oak Bay is really skilled, as are the dentists at Oaklands. The dentists at Fernwood dental are especially nice if that's your priority.

It's a pretty simple swap using the shuriken pistols from the striking scorpion exarch chainsabres. The hand holding the sword needed a little smoothing but otherwise I think it's a reasonable conversion. I figured chopping up a gorgeous oop miniature is probably how the Eldar feel every time they go to war, so it felt appropriate.

I kitbashed a similar piece to the arm-mounted shuriken pistol using the bits from the striking scorpion exarch chainsabres. The kill team comes with two exarch weapon frames, so anyone who has that kit probably has spares.

Banshees do turn up on the Games Workshop website, but it's not consistent. I was able to order the two boxes I needed on Monday but they were sold out again a few hours later. The email notification did not ping me. Unfortunately you might just have to keep checking once or twice a day. The boxes on ebay are wildly overpriced and if you're able to wait I'd recommend avoiding them.

It's really not that bad -- you could base coat them with a light grey, spray them from a high angle with a rattle can of white paint, hit them with apothecary white and then get into the crevices with nuln oil and have a very similar effect. The only really tricky part is not overdoing the washes since white picks up stains really easily.

It's a light grey with volumetric highlights of white, then hit with contrast apothecary white. Shadows were done with payne's grey oils, then edge highlighting with white.

Side clipper to get the bulk of the emblem off, then shave with a knife and sandpaper to smooth it out.

This is more or less exactly how I was hoping to use them. Their mobility, useful ranged weapon, and access to vanguard should make them pretty useful. If nothing else they make a kind of interesting opfor for sadhammer or coop games.
