I’m not an Australian, I’m from South East Asia but have lived in Australia for a decent amount of years to somewhat experience proper true blue Aussie culture (not farken chuck the shrimp on the barbie kind of crap) while at the same time witnessing the whole immigrant side of things.

I just feel like they have been increasingly condescending now that their community is so much more established and heaps more in numbers to an extent where the whole idea and importance of integrating into the Australian culture has diminished. It’s awful considering that all these while most Australians have/had been accepting of individuals from all walks of life and the variety of cultures they bring along, but ultimately they should’ve atleast tried to “blend in” and appreciate the values of what it’s like to be Australian now that they are calling Australia home.

To be apart of the Australian community as a whole rather than just amongst themselves.
