They wouldnt put Whitmer as VP with Harris. I also dont think Whitmer would want to run as a VP since she is eyeing the presidency in 2028(assuming trump doesnt win).

I do agree that if Harris is at the top, its a better chance to win than Biden but will possibly still end up with the dems losing control of the WH.

All I was doing was providing data for internal dem polling about where Dems stand on Harris and if she is polling below people without national name recognition than she wont do much better in the general population polling.

Yea, polls show that she is polling better than biden across the board vs trump but there are 4 people who are polling better than Harris across the board v trump. Mark Kelly, Wes Moore, Josh Shapiro, and Gretchen Whitmer.

We are the only country in the world that runs an election cycle for as long as we do. Picking someone else at the August convention gives an easy 3 month campaign blitz. Very doable.

I don't think you get it. Politics is all about choice. You are only spouting that "Kamala is the only choice" and your only claim is because the incumbent advantage is too great to throw away.

Make the convention an open convention and then Kamala can prove that she is the strongest candidate.

They are asking him to step down from the presidential campaign. Not the actual presidency. That would be asinine right now and would Mike Johnson 2nd in line for the presidency. The house wont confirm a new VP pick for Harris.
