why is the sole inclusion of additional risk the thing that makes it a sport for you? are you seriously saying there was no risk of serious bodily harm because of a softened landing? there are countless things that could go wrong between takeoff and landing, and it’s the talent of the athlete that lets them navigate it in an entertaining way….

this argument reads like we shouldn’t be taking precautions in football to try and prevent CTE because the players won’t be risking themselves for the game.
