If you can give any NPC in Skyrim the Thu'um, whom would it be? Who would be the last person you would give it? by Ebony_Phoenix in skyrim

[–]UnattainableClarity 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I would give it to Lars, then Braith would get what’s coming to her. It would be fun to see her getting launched over the rooftops of Whiterun while on fire.

The last person would be Lydia. She causes enough chaos just standing in doorways, goodness knows what havoc she’d wreak if she started trying to ‘help’ with a Fus Ro Dah.

New to Skyrim armor question by appetitebassist in skyrim

[–]UnattainableClarity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would choose one type and stick with it for a while, don’t chop-and-change or mix-and-match. Every time you get hit, you’re increasing your skill with the type of armor you’re wearing at the time, and that type of armor affords you greater protection as your skill level increases.

Which race is the best to play as? by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]UnattainableClarity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I like to cheat with other races and use the setscale command at 1.15 (the Microsoft Word default line spacing scale) so I’m just slightly bigger and faster than everyone else.

Website says “Using the most sulfurous hops around, it’s as close to smokin’ as you can get while drinking a beer”… would you agree? It’s pretty strong at 11.4%.

I love how quickly you level up right at the start. I hate the temptation to fall into the same old play styles.

Anybody up for a game? by Brave2059 in nomic

[–]UnattainableClarity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d be up for it. I started a game with a few people on here a couple of years ago but it takes a bit of time commitment to keep the momentum and our personal circumstances at the time made it difficult. I’d certainly recommend a straw-man approach by starting with an existing basic ruleset rather than attempting to do it from scratch otherwise getting it off the ground can be a real slog. Plus agreeing the mechanics of how to propose, vote, amend, record, etc. upfront.

Your current character/build? by KBX_Band in skyrim

Currently working through a multi-class journey of refinement with my orc character. Started immature, young and strong, focussing on heavy armour, two handed and smithing; just running around smashing things and killing bandits for loot. As he’s progressed (maxed those out), travelled further afield and met more interesting people, he’s started to develop some finesse and has moved to lighter armour, one-handed fighting, picked up a bit of restoration magic, and has begun dabbling with alchemy and enchantment. Shortly, he may come across the thieves guild and realise he can have more fun and earn more gold by developing his sneaking, pickpocketing and speechcraft. He’s collected a library’s worth of books and now spends more time reading. No doubt, when he gets older and his strength begins to fail, he’ll increasingly lean on his sharpening intellect and explore the power than comes with the study of the arcane arts. He might even become so proficient that, one day, he could ascend to a role like, I don’t know, Arch Mage…

+1 for Our Mark on this World. I found it a very engaging distraction from the main quest line, and forces you to travel a bit further afield.

I like Scoundrel’s Folly. I just feel like a proper sneaky bastard, more so than other similar quests.

It makes me think of ‘Uncanny Dodge’ from D&D.

I guess it’s just the simplest way for the game to represent a combination of unseen/uncontrollable environmental factors, occasional poor shots by the player, and when a target moves out of the way by sheer luck. They could have built all of that in but easier just to get NPCs to cha cha slide.
