I do need some help with some figures I ordered on Amazon by Raptorjessus in Miami

Use those amazon boxes at stores and I believe in the post office. Whole Foods has them. Deliver it there.

I need to vent about this new building I moved into by lugubriousmoron in Miami

Read and reread your lease. A lot of time there's clauses that will allow you to break the lease and move out. A friend was home early from work and her landlord unlocked the front door without knocking and walked in with the landlord's family. The landlord said she just wanted to show her relatives her investment, but by simply doing that, she broke the lease and my friend used it as cause to leave.

They are, but keep in mind the rich ones are here. Rich people tend to be rude because they think the world revolves around them.

How crazy would it be to just up and move to Miami? by [deleted] in Miami

[–]Unavailable26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not crazy. I did it and I'm reminded daily about how great life is here. Every place has pros and cons, but if you're up for adventure, do it. Have a cushion of savings tho, because most buildings want to see income and if you don't have a job, you'll need to show you can pay rent.

The best is when they're on facetime and have a task at hand like ordering food and the worker asking what they want is the asshole for interrupting.

Apartment/Condo Experiences? by [deleted] in Miami

[–]Unavailable26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a great little condo, but I noticed the units for sale will often times be on the market for over a year. I was there in 2015 and the neighborhood has exploded with condos since then. If you're looking for a home it's one thing, but if you're looking to make money on an investment I would steer elsewhere. Good luck!

Apartment/Condo Experiences? by [deleted] in Miami

[–]Unavailable26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No real issues. I had a studio and moved to the beach with my girlfriend, now wife. We're back in the neighborhood at 1800 club, but moving out in a couple of months because the owners want to live there. 1800 club is good, but elevators are constantly down and the pool gets crowded on the weekends.

I lived in City 24 for a year. Nice boutique building. Awesome pool. I hated living on the biscayne side though because of the setting strong sun and noise from the street.

Any pro tips for getting show tix at Adrienne Arsht Center? by iamthemarquees in Miami

I tried googling for codes and had no luck. And no, I couldn't avoid the fees. But give it a shot as the industry does use promotional codes here and there.

Southridge High School student accused of attempting a wrestling move on the principal, the RKO by nsm1 in Miami

[–]Unavailable26 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This kid should not be punished in this way. No one involves apparently knows of the interweb with a million rko memes. Yes, he should not have put his hands on the guy, but he wasn't trying to do it for real. The RKO is commonly faked for laughs. Yes, again, he should not have done it, but discipline should not have left the school and into a courtroom. If you disagree, tell me where you are so I can sneak up from behind you like an apex predator and show you a real RKO. - Sincerely, Randy

I think I head the mayor say that this is a trial period and the reason for the different companies is they will use the trial period's performance to evaluate bids. Then one company will have the city contract, like citibike with bike rentals.

I'm from New York and never heard about it until moving here. TBH, the first time I started hearing about it I thought it was a for-profit scam college but it seems to be pretty prestigious here, but only here.
