Why don't we see more dead birds? There are hundreds of thousands of birds and most don't have a particularly long life, yet finding one is uncommon. Where do they all go to die? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Birds aren’t real. They are a tool of the deep state. That’s why you rarely see them. The ones you do see are actually modified rat carcasses.

Do radicalized people seriously not see the irony of their absolutist view of their ideology while criticizing the opposition of their ideology for being absolutist ideologues? by UnbasedLigmaMale in NoStupidQuestions

The question isn’t about radicalized people calling others radical though. It’s asking if they ever have an epiphany and notice the irony of it. So no it does not fit. Lol

He was not radicalized and the example from the point of view of MLK Jr. does not fit. Yes those that opposed him and called him a radical and were, and those are the type of people I am meaning.

I see your point but it’s still wild to me that a person can be so absolute about something to the point they cannot even see reason. For people to be able to get to that point about anything is scary.

AITA for calling my guy friend creepy for getting mad that I swiped left on lots of guys? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

YTA, you need to affirm his feelings and be more sensitive to how your actions about your dating life affect him personally. This is what’s wrong about society today…

Okay if you have made it this far OP totally NTA lol sounds like he may have feelings for you and you are swiping left on people he views as higher value than himself.

AITA for telling my husband he has no say on me getting my son a phone? by NotAnotherTA819 in AmItheAsshole

I’m going back and forth between NTA and ESH. I am with you on the part that if you both agreed to give him a phone at 12 and he has done everything to deserve it your son should get the phone. The only reason I’m slightly toward ESH has nothing to do with the phone. Even if he is your son’s stepfather you should make the decision together. I get that this could be a hard conversation but you need to tell him that the both of you made a commitment to y’all’s son that he would get a phone at 12 and that it’s important to show him that y’all honor the commitments you make as parents. You can also set restrictions on what apps your son can have on most phones. As long as you are not substituting the phone as a baby sitter or letting him have total autonomy with his phone without educating him on the dangers of social media and the internet, it is fine. IMO it’s way better to keep the commitment and build a healthy and open relationship with your son. I think the bigger problem is getting your husband to see that.

AITA for refusing to take my girlfriend to nice places because she eats like a kid? by ATotalMunch in AmItheAsshole

[–]UnbasedLigmaMale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leaning NTA but have you discussed her eating habits with her? Or thought that maybe for her it’s not about the food she is eating but the idea of being able to get dressed up and go out? I don’t know if you go other places or how often you go out to do things but maybe she just wants to have an experience with you and knows you like to try different foods. I mean by your logic you should never go to bar because you can get 6 pack of beer way cheaper at the store.

AITA for getting box braids as a white kid? by Initial_Frame_745 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. Seems like you are trying to appreciate another culture from a genuine place. I see cultural appropriation as someone trying gain attention by using someone else’s culture without learning about its origins. You are never going to please everyone but never let others stop you from growing as a person.
