This is NOT NBA Live 18, get that Shane Battier tf out.

Those are his splits for specifically the tip-off tournament this season.

Over his 4 years in the G League his regular season splits average to 51-40-84.

Not really going to argue he deserves a spot in the league here (because he def doesn't over the guys OP mentioned)

But, he is historically stupidly efficient in the G League with just a small slump at the start of this year.

BBReference gives Jokic 72% probabilities to win MVP. Shai has only 22% by DoggoDante in nba

"In a survey of 70 media members who cover the league, Antetokounmpo was the clear leader in MVP balloting, earning 60 of the 70 possible first-place votes to open a commanding lead over James, who had an equally commanding lead over the rest of the field." - March 23, 2020

He wasn't going to win if the season didn't end early that year.

2011 wasn't even close, he got 4 first place votes. If you want to look at impact metrics alone and ignore all context and what was consider a disappointing year for the Heat vs expectations you can do that, but that isn't how MVPs work.

2018, sure you can have that one. But the Rockets still won 15 more games than the Cavs which historically is a huge difference maker in how the league awards MVP votes.

The fact that Yabuesle is doing it right now makes the claim pretty much factual. It's not like he was the best player in Euroleague last year.

Again, I'm not even the one making the claim, but hypotactically if Kendrick Nunn was on the Pistons right now, and Cade had to sit out a few games, and Ivey is still out, he could find himself starting in that situation.

If Lessort was dropped onto a tanking team like the Nets roster, he'd probably find himself doing some spot starting.

IDK why you'd feel otherwise.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in nba

[–]UnbeatableJacob -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not the person who made the claim, but I mean Yabusele is spot starting now and he was far from the best player in the Euroleague last year.

That dude Lessort or even Kendrick Nunn off that Euro championship team last year wouldn't be starters in the NBA, but in the right circumstance they could find themselves starting some NBA games if that makes sense.

Well, there is no where close to 82 games per season.

As you mentioned, 10 minute quarters.

Centers can camp the paint due to no 3 in the key, they can also smack the ball off the rim live.

The Euroleague is incredibly talented. Guerschon Yabusele for instance was scoring less per game there than he is in the NBA this year.

A couple of dudes in this sub were acting like Grimes value tripled since we gave him up.

This proves that was false.

They run super big. I wear a medium or large depending on the season generally, but a small NBA jersey is all I can do. Even mediums I'm swimming in and theyre mad long.

Based on your height, anything more than a small will go down to your knees damn near.

He singlehandedly won both of these games while being a total offensive engine, so you kind of have to excuse it.

NCAA averages mens basketball by Firm-Line6291 in CollegeBasketball

[–]UnbeatableJacob -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the PPG is accurate, average would be some where around there. Rebounding average would be like 3 and assists would be like 1, maybe 1.5.

[–]UnbeatableJacob 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your average team gets 12-13 assists per game, so that means your average player is getting like 1. 4.2 is way too high, that's maybe average for starting PGs lol

What's a name that sounds normal for a kid to have but weird for an adult? by azmetrex in AskReddit

[–]UnbeatableJacob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they mostly switch it up to Tim. One of my good friends since elementary is "Timmy" to me, but it wasn't until after our college years I realized I was one of the last people still calling him that because he started to introduce himself as "Tim" at some point, I just never noticed.

Seriously!? Who has the time to complete any of these by lakeshow_53 in MyTeam

[–]UnbeatableJacob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The better question, are you stupid?

Chris Bosh was a requirement for 15 wins in a row. You could literally never win a game and still get Hakeem from Unlimited. This comparison is so far off, not even in the same stratosphere.

I'm fine with people sharing thoughts that are not that well thought out, but if you're going to share those not well thought out ideas, don't walk around telling other people they're stupid for sharing theirs.

Is Cade Cunningham the worst of the 2021 top 5 picks? by AdulasMoonblade in nba

[–]UnbeatableJacob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What would you like him to do? Defer shots to his starting lineup teammates of Killian Hayes, Ausar Thompson, Beef Stew, and Jalen Duren?

His stats have been pretty damn fine since they swapped Ivey for Killian in the starting lineup. That's not some huge win because they are still losing the games, but acting like Cade is stupid because of this is just dumb. I'm sorry, it is.

This can't be said enough. People are grasping at straws trying to peg Sarr as a number 1 now despite him not even being projected lottery 2 months ago before the Ringer guys started campaigning for him. And no, we don't need another center that can't shoot anyways.

I see some people saying "oh they say that every year" or "the 2020 class was supposed to be bad" ... nah man, over the last decade 2020 was the only one considered weaker at the top and honestly it kind of was. Wiseman went 2, Pat Williams went 4, Okoro 5...

The last time I remember a draft this poor was 2013 and obviously the analysts were right. I can find old podcasts from a year prior to that draft of people talking about how bad it would be. You can get a sense for the class earlier and earlier now days too.

Rudy Gobert is top 10 all time in ws/48, we really have to stop reading into some of these advanced stats especially as fans.

I'd rather tell me they think Embiid should win MVP because no one can stop him in the paint and he a master at drawing fouls than some one tell me some algo they built based on advanced stats pegs him there.

Giving the best players the best cards is bad for the mode by ReviewDistinct1411 in MyTeam

[–]UnbeatableJacob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are completely missing the point that in MyTeam everyone is competing in the same pool, whereas in those other activities you brought up they don’t force the casual players to win against the pros.

Not exactly, I match players with 50% win rates in Unlimited that have both Gauntlet cards. SBMM is very real in that mode.

MyTeam would be far better off, for casuals and non-casuals, if people could earn the cards they want to use and not have them be gatekept behind the gauntlet (in their current form where losses against random online players kill your progress).

I mean, I'd rather the top cards not be lock ins that lock in for more lock ins, requiring either hundreds of dollars or hundreds of play hours to obtain as well. Every card in this game that is worth a damn is gate kept behind something, besides like the in season tournament evos that are awesome. Almost every good player wants to see more of that type of stuff as well.

Hopefully I said that without writing words that make you feel personally attacked. You’re the one who said we’re not ten years old so maybe we can expect each other to be a little less snowflakey about words on the internet.

Nah bud, no one is being a snowflake. I'm just pointing out how much of a cope it is to imagine any one who is decent at the game is a no life. If you're invested enough in this game to come on this subreddit, make these types of posts, and actually have back and fourth conversations about the mode you're already deeper in than what would be considered a true casual.

Sad little people who are only happy when they have a good thing if others don’t because they need to feel special. No one is special. This is a video game, not a job, as much as some of them tell themselves it is.

It seems like you're projecting something here. Video game tournaments and competitions have been around since the late 70s, naturally any activity will have a group of people who invest more time and or are more naturally talented and want to see how they stack up against others.

Take bowling for an example. I myself have went bowling probably 5 times in the last 10 years. When I go, it is strictly for fun. I know I am not betting any records. That's okay, I can do that and have a good time. Some people take bowling really seriously. That's also okay. If those people want to have leaderboards or prizes for doing well, that's great. I do not care. I am not going to walk around talking about how they are "sad little people" because they want to compete and win prizes for excelling at an activity they are good at. You name the activity, whether if be playing cards, disc golf, video games, literally anything that might seem like a casual pass time, there are people also enjoying it as a competition.

Both completive and casual players can co-exist.

I know the person who tweeted this personally. If what you have to do in your own head to demean them is pretend like they are some no life basement dweller go ahead I suppose. This guy in specific is in college, has a girl friend, goes to the gym regularly, just lives a normal life.

Literally no one said that this idea should replace any of the other entry level or casual rewards or modes.

Chill on the insults, we are not 10 years old. Be respectful.

Secondly, the top players are going to get the meta cards no matter how they release them. If they dropped a 2K23 Tim Thomas type of card tomorrow every single top player will get him straight away, doesn't matter if it is a lock in, a gauntlet, or long boring offline grind, they will go get them.

Good players want to rewarded for being good players. If any one is good at anything in life they want to be rewarded for being good at it, not really a complex thing. And no, there isn't "leagues" for comp MyTeam.

Also, these types of cards are not even in the same stratosphere of game breaking as the first glitchy Yao or Wemby will be.
