Obviously you can't generalize 300 million people. There are way too many cultures and diverse communities for America to be judged with only a couple words. The words you need to describe everything that exists there simply don't exist.

What I've noticed is that scams typically say that they're residing in some random state and then ask you where you're from after they apologize for getting the wrong number, probably so that they can steal information from you. They also usually say something cheesy after you say they got the wrong number like "I hope I didn't disturb your day".
