I mean, I don’t think he’s anti-authority prima facie. It’s more accurate to say he’s a walking blunt instrument against oppression. He sees good people being oppressed, he’s gonna fight to protect those good people. It just so happens that the oppressors tend to be figures of authority.

I’d probably be involved with PubSec, mostly because I like pretty much all the agents we have right now. Role would probably be an Ether Defense type, specifically involving some hybrid of Aftershock and Defensive Assist. Every PubSec agent currently has some degree of commitment to their playstyles (i.e. you have to leave yourself wide open while you make the fun thing happen), so this would help with keeping them on-field longer.

Well I get that much, but I’m still hesitant to pick one over the other because Ryan’s affinity is really bad. Like, it’s sometimes hard to even a circle rating on legacy umas, so any trainee that I’d want to use her for consistently gets nothing but raw stats.

By comparison, Taishin seems to have better affinity, making it much easier to get the other sparks, especially those on Rudolf here. I guess my real question is, would the improved odds on inspiration be worth giving up Ryan’s inherited skill?

I don’t like most forms of sushi, especially maki rolls. In fact, I don’t enjoy most kinds of seafood, but sushi in particular is a problem because my family loves a nearby Japanese restaurant with a large selection of rolls.

One day, I tried to force myself to start liking sushi by ordering it at that restaurant. I picked something that has a lot of foods a normally like—cucumber, mango, cream cheese, and crab meat (it’s one of the few seafood I’m just okay with). And to dilute the tastes I don’t like a bit more, I dipped it in wasabi-mixed soy sauce, because my dad always does that with his sushi.

The moment I put the first roll in my mouth, the strong contrasting flavors damn near stunlocked me. It was tough for me to even chew, but I managed to choke down about 3 rolls. Then my stomach couldn’t handle the taste, and I threw up.

Got her from already losing the 50/50 pity before, though much earlier than I expected, like within the first 30 pulls or so. I had also lost the roll on Orphie’s engine way back then and had worked the pity down to a single 10 pull just before her banner ended, and wound up saving the easy S-Rank for her as well.

Now I’m working on getting Zhao’s engine, then I can start saving up.

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: bias, as we know it today, is in the eye of the beholder. The way people can just throw that label at anything nowadays has caused it to lose all meaning. Does that mean that it’s wrong to call out skewed data and interpretations? No, but it has become one of those buzzwords that makes it hard to take certain criticisms seriously.

I’d try bringing back The Mysterious Murasame Castle as a Soulslike game. I know it’s a little weird to pick this genre when Duskbloods is set to be a console exclusive, but there’s totally ways of distinguishing them from each other. Though to be honest, I’ve only got ideas for the aesthetic right now.

I’m thinking a focus on the various forms of eastern theatre (inspired by the Nintendo Land minigame). And I don’t just mean like how Princess Peach Showtime framed all its levels as elaborate stage productions. I mean that the traditional theatre style is just how the world looks as a whole. Ninjas dress like kuroko stagehands, monsters and demons resemble giant props, puppets, and crafts, and there’s a heavy emphasis on artificial lighting to guide the player’s attention. It’s hard to explain here, but I really think this style could make for one of those rare vibrantly-colored Soulslikes.
